My husband hasn't worn a watch for years--he's a repairman and wristwatches would often get snagged and scratched and gouged when he had his hands deep inside some machine. Lately he just uses his phone to keep track of the time. But in anticipation of a weekend at an event where he was going to have to relinquish his phone, he asked me to get him a new watch. I chose this watch for its good looks, reasonable price, and because we old timers can read the time faster by glancing at old-fashioned analog watch hands than we can by squinting at digital numbers.My husband was delighted with my choice. Several times he's exclaimed how much he likes it, and several other times he's come home to report that some acquaintance or another had seen his watch and admired it.My husband is rough on his belongings and eventually this will get all scratched up and worn out looking, but it was not so expensive that it's too precious for him to use and enjoy, and when the time comes to replace it I can imagine him asking for the exact same watch again.

This was a gift for my husband and he loves it. Easy to read. The leather band was very stiff and hard to open and fasten but it's getting better with use. Who needs a digital watch? We have mad skills!

Reliable inexpensive watch. Easy to read

Needed a Watch, as Cell 'Phone not always in reach. This Design is really clear to read, and looks very classy.Excellent value for Money, for a Watch of this quality and features. Faster delivery from Amazon, than expected.Interesting Story, about how the Company Owner treated his Employees like Family, and also Customers.Not likely to attempt to test the Water resistance, so that was not rated. Good to know, though.So far, it has kept excellent time. Japanese Movement, I believe.I wound it forward about 6 Weeks, the hard way (it turned out).Day can be changed separately. I checked on a Calendar, for the nearest Day and Date match. Didn't take that long, but easier to ask Armitron for the Manual, and follow their advice!Hard to read the Model Number off the back, to look up on Website. That didn't work, however.

Day/Date stem is loose and will only move the daye

Very attractive watch that looks expensive. Very readable dial. Sadly I'm returning it bc it is just too large for my 5"11 medium build husband.

I needed to replace an old Timex easy-read watch which I broke accidentally and really liked this Armitron. I have another Armitron watch of a different style that has proven to be a very dependable watch. I prefer to wear watches that have numbers on the face simply because they are easier to see what time it is. This watch has a distinctive black face with contrasting numbers and also day and date windows. The diameter of the face is a good size and the band is genuine leather. This has become my favorite watch to wear now!
