Tumi Alpha Bravo Knox Backpack, Hickory, One Size

I wanted the Anthracite one because I liked the color, but I didn't like the zippers. They usually needed two hands to zip, and the teeth are sharp to the touch. in the end, I decided to switch to the hickory, and I am glad I did. The coated zippers are what you find on the tumi alpha line. One other significant difference is that the hickory fabric is limper relative to the anthracite one so the latter holds it's shape better.I use this bag to carry an iPad, my lunch (which is usually in a 4" tin), a newspaper, hat/gloves, and the usual things a woman carries in her purse. Everything fits well and all the pockets makes it easy to organize my things.I am 5' and I like how the bag is on the small side. It is light and comfortable to carry.

When someone special asked for this backpack as a gift I took one look at the price tag and hoped the zippers were gold plated but I have to say, now that I've seen it in person and checked it out, I can definitely appreciate the quality. Magazine reviews have dubbed this the best backpack ever so we have high hopes for it. The material and zippers appear sturdy and very good quality. My someone special is thrilled with it and uses it daily. It seems like it's built to last a lifetime and I hope it will.

Tumi products are certainly on the more expensive side, but this is definitely a case where you get what you pay for. The quality of this backpack is outstanding and it is extremely durable. I've had it for nearly a year now and it looks like brand new. The size is just right and will fit most size laptop computers. The zippers are of the highest quality which is important to me because I dislike zippers that are cheap and need two hands to unzip. These slide nicely and smoothly. The only thing I dislike about this backpack is that it falls over when set on the ground. for some reason it falls forward so you have to lean it back. A small thing I admit, but just a little annoying. Other than that you won't be disappointed with this purchase

It is heavier than I would like. I like all of the compartments and it is functional for traveling, which is what I bought it for. It is too expensive in my opinion, but it is TUMI so it goes with the territory, It is quality made. Would have liked it to be lighter, but otherwise a good backpack

Perfect bag for me. I am middle age profession going to law school part time.. needed back pack that has style, and size i need to carry my macbook air, iPad, accessories and books for law school. This one does it. Very made of course, its TUMI, stylish enough to to carry wearing suit, not too big like most of back packs, and very good price if you are buying it for the price at Amazon. I have three other expensive back packs and messenger bags but this is the only one i use now everyday...

Excellent light weight backpack. I commute most days between Philly and NYC and this provides an easy and stylish way to cart my lap top, umbrella, various chargers, papers, keys, pens, etc. I use the pocket on the left for the lap top's power supply, the one on the right for my iphone and ipad charger.Key clip in top center pocket. Plenty or room for a laptop and ipad mini.Would not be suitable if you have a lot of books, fits one of two without a problem

This is a great bag.... Except, I just noticed an area where the seam is coming apart. I've only had it for about 2 months and I wouldn't expect this happening so soon with a $300 bag.There's a Tumi store in SF and I'm going to bring it in there and see what they'll do about it.I'll keep you posted!Update: A sales person at the Tumi store said that I needed to have this taken care of with Amazon since I purchased it there. Luckily it's still within the time I can return it to Amazon.I also googled info about Tumi's warranty policy and found that there are lots of complaints with people saying that the policy has been changed and it appears that Tumi's products are not quite what they used to be.I've returned the bag and will be getting a refund in a couple of days... Thank you Amazon!

I need to set the context first, this is my 4th Tumi, and will not be the last.I am not going after fashion but after quality and utility primarily. But Tumi has satisfied me for all of these.I was looking for a compact backpack, and have been researching for a while before I finally settled for this. And guess what, once it was delivered, I have not stopped going anywhere and everywhere with this backpack. Feel good and is good.

Great bag. Feels comfortable to wear. Not too bulky. Looks like it is crafted well. Hopefully it stands the test of time as the price is not for the faint of heart. Love it so far

It is soooooo over priced for what it was.

A great tool for my everyday commuting. It is very, very practical well designed and good looking. What I do not like is the fact that it is amazingly expensive and that there are no practical possibility to lock any of the compartments with a small padlock! How hard would that be to be included in the design?
