ARBRD116 Air Operated Locking Differential for Dana Spicer Model 44, 3.92 & Up, 30 Spline

This is the 6th ARB I've owned. (2x Ford 9 inch, 1x Dana 35, 3x Dana 44) Installation was much easier compared to the older RD06 units where you have to drill the bearing cap. Although I have own two of those and they have functioned without flaw, it can be nerve-racking for a first timer to drill the bearing cap and potentially ruin an axle housing.The RD116 install was much easier. My only complaint is that I could have used some more carrier bearing shims with this unit. I installed this in a 1978 High Pinion Dana 44 from a full size Bronco and had to use every shim provided for backlash adjustment and bearing preload.
