Useless review without any specific information
I was looking for specifics on growing a hydroponic garden in my greenhouse. I found less information than 2 minutes of googling provided.Book contains a short incomplete section on a number of hydroponic methods with no practical information. No how to information, just generalities about how great the process is. It would have been better to do specifics on a couple of methods (amount of water/types and amounts of fertilizer/ water recycling requirements/light requirements would have been great. As it is I learned nothing useful.

Needs editing and better layout
This book could use an editor or proofreader. There are many cases where they is a typo or an incorrect word used. While the basics of hydroponics is discussed, it mostly seems based on the author's own experience and research. There is a chapter that describes how to build different hydroponic systems. It boils this down to a laundry list of parts and semi-cryptic step-by-step instructions. Pictures or diagrams would be very helpful, especially with the more complex systems.Out of the three hydropoinc books I got for christmas, this was the least useful.

complete waste of $0.99!
This book was written by someone for whom English is a second language or was written in another language and translated. The information in this book is literally word for word from the main hydroponics websites that come up on a google search of hydroponics. Maybe the author of this book is the author of those websites.... Bottomline, don't waste your money, all of the info in this book can be found online for free with the added benefit of illustrations.

Expecting adult grammar, but written with grade-school education level writing.
Really difficult to read a book whose author did not choose to use a professional editor to proof and eliminate poorly conducted grammar and vocabulary. Oi vey!!Okay, so now that I've read the book, I'd say spend your money elsewhere on a properly written and well-illustrated text.Certainly there is some information the author has conveyed, but there's really not sufficient info for a beginner to be successful, and there's very noticeably not a single diagram or illustration. Thus, the reader is left with the author's vague and poorly presented information and must somehow bridge the gap from basic knowledge to a working hydroponic system. This book should have never left this dude's one block neighborhood.

Not worth paying for it
This book seems like it was done on the cheap. No illustrations and no pictures. The only picture is on the cover. No mention of The Kratky Method. It is basically for the DYI people and not for those of us who have bought self-contained systems. Save your money and watch some YouTube videos.

Good material
Hydroponics is something we even do as a biology task in elementary school in a simpler way, yet not much attention seems to be paid to it after that. I only occasionally read about someone growing plants like this or see it on the TV, but it appears the awareness for hydroponics and its merits is still not large. That’s why I’m happy to see someone write a book with a lot of stuff covered on this topic. What I particularly liked in this book is how clear the explanations were, like the advice for finding deficiencies or explaining about how different plants work in different systems. That was a really nice touch there! The instructions on the systems and the advantages and disadvantages of each of them were well-written, too.I recommend this book at least as an interesting read or to start growing plants this way as a hobby if you don’t plan to do more, but it’s good material for anything.

Great book for beginners interested in hydroponics
This is a great book for beginners or those wanting to learn more about growing your own indoor garden using hydroponics. David discusses different systems to use such as the Wick system, Water Culture system and more. He also discusses the different heating and lighting set-ups available, as well as how to set up a system inside your home. For the next edition I would like see more photos and illustrations discussing the system set up process and its components. Since I am a beginner this would have been helpful. Overall this book contains lots of valuable information for anyone to get started growing their own fruits, vegetables and herbs inside their home.

Wonderful way to grow plants
Gardening has always been in my blood, and most of it is because of my mother. We share a passion for gardening, and every new way of gardening we try together. Hydrophonic gardening is nothing like we have ever tried before and I am very excited about it. I know plants can grow in water, as I was taught in school, but I never really thought about trying to grow my own plants in water. There are many types of Hydrophonic systems to grow plants; you just have to pick one that works for you, gather the materials and you are ready to go. I cannot wait to set everything up and teach my mother how everything works.

Good guide for beginners!
Gardening is a hobby that I absolutely adore. It is actually more than just growing food. It’s a hobby that countless people enjoy. Unfortunately not everyone lives where they can plant an outdoor garden. This is why we have these new trends of urban gardening coming up. You could always plant your own garden, but maybe you don’t have enough space outside, or maybe you live in a colder climate. Don’t let climate or space prevent you from enjoying your own fresh fruits, vegetables and herbs. This book lays out how you can set up a hydroponic gardening system and reap the benefits from it. It’s a good way to start saving money as well.

Feeling much more confident about growing my own herbs and vegetables!
What a great and well laid out read, loved how straightforward and simple this book was, also the tips on what signs to look out for with your plants of they're struggling and how to fix that. Covers a variety of ways to grow hydroponically and lays out well how to set up and run each one.. Definitely glad I got this one
