Good for HB pencils and some lower # Bs. I could not sharpen a Prismacolor pencil without breaking the lead.

Initially, when plugged in, the charger stuck out slightly, but it worked well enough. When a student emptied it and plugged it back in, the charger was forced inside the sharpener. I switched to batteries, since the charger no longer worked. However, the new batteries were drained in less than a month. I attempted to remove the base to repair the charger, but that wasn’t possible. Would NOT recommend!

Could not stand up to a classroom of children using it.
