This is the absolute best face cream and I've tried LOADS.I use prescription tretinoin, azelaic acid and tri-luma (mostly for melasma). Historically, I regularly used prescription retinoids for acne. I am very familiar with having to deal with the dryness and irritation that comes with these harsher prescription face creams. CeraVe's face cream has been my go-to face cream (morning and night) for over a decade. You just can't beat the quality and the price of the product. It never makes me break out, never causes dryness or irritation (I am oily/combo), and never causes redness. It is so soothing, and I hate writing this review b/c it's often sold out when I try to buy it at the store (so I end up buying it on Amazon).Also, if you are turned off by vaseline or baby butt paste (for your face), then this is a fabulous alternative to use for face basting (or any other trend referring to thickly applying cream/lotion/paste to your face).PROS: Inexpensive, thick & creamy, lasts 4 weeks (morning and night, applied thickly), doesn't interfere or interact with prescription or expensive creams or serums (I've used it with Murad, Skinceuticals, Obagi, etc. -- all fine).CONS: Price can vary a lot based on where you purchase (I've seen it range from $13 - $26), sometimes out of stock, you'll be so depressed if they stop making it (I'll be there with you).

Very good night cream, as expected from CeraVe. The texture is good, it’s not greasy (though do not over apply), and it’s very moisturizing. Especially recommended for aging or sun damaged skin.

Thick, creamy, and doesn’t make my face break out like it’s 2007 again. The night cream equivalent of a weighted blanket. My skin’s hydrated, plump, and vaguely smug.

8/6/2025 - Ive used cerave for years but never this skincare line by them. I bought this to use in conjunction with tretnoin and it makes me skin sooooooooooooo soft. Too soon fo give final opinion. I used it literally last night for the first time and the texture of it had me go and buy the day cream as soon as I woke up today bc my skin was still so moisturized! It's thick but not heavy and so moisturizing. Confident this whole line is worth givng a chance. I will update if this changes for better or worse!

This is my second jar of this night cream and would highly recommend it. I have fairly sensitive, combination skin and this does an excellent job at hydrating without irritating. In the colder months, I tend to get some very dry patches of skin (red, even flaky) and this works *amazingly* well in combating that. Even in more humid months when my skin tends toward the more oily side, I still like to use it for spot treatments and in my under-eye area.Pros: Love that this is fragrance-free (can't believe how many facial products still use artificial fragrances!) . The texture is very creamy and goes on pretty thick, but also soaks in fairly quickly. Despite the thick texture, that this is non-comedogenic means I haven't had to deal with any clogged pores.Cons: None.

CeraVe is a high quality brand and recommended by many derms. Hydrated better than most more expensive lines. Creamy texture and easy to apply to the skin. I have researched moisturizer and other beauty products and CerVeis almost always on the lists, great price.
