Works great. Made in the USA!
The cell phone cup holder base unit has a series of stacked cups that can be separated from the stack, one cup at a time, until you have the correct fit in your cup holder. A black rubbery band, included, wraps around base of chosen cup to further tighten grip in cup holder. You attach extention bracket and cell holder bracket with knobs you hand tighten. Cell holder bracket expands to accommodate any width of cell phone. Works great! Unit is a bit pricey. However, made in USA. So, I am willing to pay a bit more to have it made here.

Great! Get the extension version.
Yes it's ridiculously costly but it has to be the best there is for phone holders that fit into your cup holder. The multiple sized cups will insure a snug fit, and it also has a think wide rubber band you can put on the outside cup if you still need an even snugger fit to prevent any rattling or wiggling. The plastic is good quality and the knobs are large and easy to turn and lock in. The phone holder is large, adjusts width, and feels solid. I recommend you get the model of these that has the additional 3-4 inch extension, it definitely makes a difference with ease of sight while driving, especially if your auto's cup holders sits down low or is almost out of sight....the extra few dollars for the extension version of this holder is well worth it in my opinion. Overall like I said this thing is pricey, but if you've used the cheaper ones you are undoubtedly dissappointed in its quality and THIS one will surely make you happy! Just think of how much you will use it for years and if it helps justify the cost, just divide the price among all those hundreds or thousands of days and it's a good investment for something you will USE daily. Get it!

The Adjustable Cups Are Too difficult to Separate.
My only complaint is that the adjustable cups are very difficult/impossible to separate. I was able to remove two, but that was it. Fortunately, it works at the size I’m stuck with.

Overpriced all high quality plastic
Revised review of previous information. I've got it installed and adjusted with ease. It works as advertised. But obviously WeatherTech has forgotten how to engineer a durable product for all users. Entirely made of high quality plastic. But durability is questionable for its extension bar and all adjustment knobs. These should have been entirely aluminum. The current product is obviously made for short people or others who may sit low in the driver seat. For tall people like myself or persons who sit with the driver's seat in a high position, the highest that the phone can be placed is too low. Either by increasing the extension bar 4 in or by increasing the height of the plastic cups or a combination of both methods, the phone holder should be an additional 4 in higher. And for the price, this item is terribly overpriced at about $55 plus tax. As is, the Cupfone is worth a maximum of $25. And it certainly isn't worth an extra 20 or more dollars to get knobs made from aluminum billet. The current price should at least include such knobs. The above deficiencies became so annoying, I tried a Miracase phone holder that outperformed by far the WeatherTech Cupfone. I returned the WeatherTech Cupfone to Amazon. I have kept the Miracase phone holder, which has highly satisfied me.

If you have a large phone, this is NOT the cupholder for you ...
I have a Samsung Galaxy 22 5G in an Otter Box. I had to-go through a very complicated process in order to expand the device clamping mechanism in an effort to make this cup holder work for my phone. Additionally, the holder swivels too much because of the multiple layers of cups in their attempts to make a one-size-fits-all-holder. Also, because the arm tension knobs are not notched, not toothed, they rely on friction to grasp and hold ... which always leads to failure. Bumpy roads, tight turns, braking ... the phone flops, spins, falls backwards ... just very frustrating. Additionally, if you use the extension arm, that just adds more torque to the weak tension/tightening mechanism and it's repeated total failure. It just doesn't work ... it is very poorly engineered. And no, I am not a naysayer of Weather Tech products. In fact I have Weather Tech mats in all four of my vehicles but, this particular product is beneath their standards imho. If they put some kind of grip coating on the inside or outside of the cups to keep them from spinning and turning inside of one another, if they molded teeth into, or included a friction washer with, their knob tightening system (that prevented the joints from failing) and increased the diameter of the actual tightening knobs, or either made them tightenable (sic) with a wrench (which would probably require machined aluminum tightening knobs) ... I mean this thing is simply poorly engineered IF they expect it to work properly with the larger hand-held mobile devices. It probably worked-well with the old smaller devices and purse phones ... but those days are gone for most of us. Especially those of us who work jobs that require larger, more dynamic devices and those of us who wish to protect our $2000 investments with shock resistant cases such as my Otterbox. (FWIW my phone would not fit this holder without the Otterbox either.) I'll include pictures of how I engineered an immediate solution in order to make it work before I went on a long trip (no time for a return and/or replacement) and still not waste almost $60 bucks in the process. It put me in a bind with little time remaining before I departed. As they say, Necessity is the Mother of Invention. I'm in construction. I spend a lot of time driving from Project to Project, on bumpy roads and jobsites. This cupholder did not meet my expectations. I'm still loyal Weather Tech fan but they're no-longer batting .1000 with me unfortunately.
