This is perfect for the XCT. It gives you the advantage of a heel shifter without sacrificing the open space of the large foot boards. It is very easy to install and it looks good. If you are used to a heel shifter from another bike this will take some time and practice. At first I did not like it coming from a Vulcan Voyager that has a very natural and instinctive heel shifter, but it also locked your left foot into one position. But after using this shifter daily for the last two weeks it is now almost second nature. I no longer have to think about hitting it with my heel and I never miss a shift.

The heel shifter was very easy to install. Took me maybe 30 minutes to put on. Hooks right up to the toe shifter. I had a heel shifter on my last bike and got where I was missing it. The only thing I don't like is it is a little hard to hit sometimes but that is also something I like about it. It is narrow and out of the way allowing free range for your foot on the floorboard.

Works like it should, simple install. Took a little getting used to as it sits a bit high. Doesn't take up any room at the floorboard either.

I love this shifter I havent missed a shift yet and it stays out of the way. All the other heal shifters I have owned looked like the front shifter and your foot had to stay between the front and back. This allows you to move your foot anywhere but closer to the engine. I installed it in 10 minutes, the shift throw is really short, and it looks great.

for almost $100 I can't see the value of owning the heel shifter. It's enough out of the way that it's difficult to find if your foot is not all the way back and near the clutch cover. I could take it or leave it.

Husband is very happy. He had a heel shifter on a previous bike and missed it on his Victory. He installed it Christmas day and said it was easy install. He says it was easy to slide back into heel shifting and loves it.

It is what it is. Haven't installed yet, but don't forsee any problems.

You do need to disassemble the shifter linkage and remove it from the bike. Then you assemble the heel part to the toe part with two screws. The completed assembly is then fitted back to the bike.The heel shifter fits great and looks good.
