Id probably look at other products
I bought a Ionic Air Purifier about a year ago and used it for the entire year almost non-stop in Erbil Iraq, a very dusty and high pollution environment. I wasn't impressed with the air flow at all, you can barley feel anything when its on. It does have a constant hum when its on. It also never really got that dirty, I was expecting to use it for a week and the metal fins would be covered, and nothing. I had to use it for a month straight until it was kinda dirty and this is in Iraq. Im not sure if I just got a "bad egg" but I read other reviews that also said the same thing about the lack of air flow. I would really recommend another product.

if you need air circulation - this will not work
This device does indeed ionize air - but the fan is not very powerful at all, pretty useless really; not worth the noise.though the air seems to flow when fan is off, so one doesn't really need it.generally i'm disappointed with it's power. it's not a strong ionized odor over 500 ft; more like 200 sqft.I wanted an ionizer - and i got it - but i realize that I need more, so i bit the bullet & bought a rabbit air.... thing is fantastic. totally worth the price.as for this one... not really worth the money.I needed something that actively circulates the air. this doesn't.I'm still giving it three stars as it does perform as advertised - but ultimately the fan is underpowered & it's just not suiting my needs.

Ionic Air Purifier
Had only a few weeks. So far so good. Seems to be cleaning the air. Not as much dusting needed as b4 purchase.

Outstanding
compared to a Honeywell EnviracaireĀ® QuietCare 1700 HEPA Air Cleaner it is cheaper (initial price and to maintain), dramatically less noisy, and much more effective. regardless of what some people say about particles get ionized and stick to the room surfaces, which they claim to be a scientific reasoning (i doubt that), even though I bought the Honeywell, which i regret, I noticed after mine broke by a couple of days that my clothes started to smell like cigarettes (I smoke in my room when I'm studying).It lasted I think over 3 years with several drops from 6' then the fan broke. so i replaced the fan (same as OEM CPU fans for old AMD sockets, which is about two dollars). however, it stopped working completely after another year; so, i opened it again to find the board cocked.Bottom line: 24/7/4 years service for about fifty bucks = money well spent compared to other brands and HEPA stuff.PS: the honeywell blows most of the dust back in the air. I have to clean the wall by hand often which the honeywell is close to. pifff... HEPA filters, lol.
