If you are looking to up your puzzling game, this is the one for you.The patterns on this puzzle are many - zodiac, star names, constellations, planetary orbits ... all overlapping white lines on the background of the Milky Way. But keep a magnifying glass handy, you will need it!You can see from the pics just how smal the writing around the edge of the puzzle is, and from the finished work, you can see how uniform the color pallette is. I loved doing it, and will likely do it again after a few months of a break. But it was a real feeling of accomplishment to finish it.

This puzzle could have been frustrating to the point of giving up, but the image is so well designed that I was able to do it in about four days. It's technically challenging (aka some parts have to be done by fitting pieces together, not by the image) but there is enough detail to go by the image for much of the puzzle. The only complaint is that I spent a lot of time squinting at the tiny print in the image to find a piece. On the pieces, the print is legible. On the front of the box, you might want a magnifying glass. This was a great puzzle and I look forward to putting it together again.

Hard and rewarding

I gifted this to my aunt and uncle. Though they said it was challenging, they had a blast! And Ravensberger quality is unbeatable. That’s why I gave them the puzzle as a gift :-)

I loved this puzzle. It was not as hard as I thought it would be. I sorted all the edge pieces then put them aside and stated with the circle and worked my way out and the edge pieces were added almost at the end. It is difficult to read any of the constellation names though. It was still fun to put together.

As always, Ravensburger makes challenging puzzles. This was no different and it was a big challenge, which is exactly what we wanted. We're keeping it to do again in a few years.

This is not a puzzle for beginners. It is challenging for even veteran zig-saw puzzle hounds but provides a great learning experience about the night sky along the way.

Can't be objective because of my bias, as I am the artist that researched and designed it. Ravensburger's job in manufacturing it is quite high quality. My only complaint is that they asked me to change the size and some of the text resulted too small. Fortunately it sold out its first edition, so they gave me a chance submit a new original, to fix those way too small texts. Not sure if Amazon has a large stock of the first edition or they are already selling the improved version.
