They're as sturdy as whatever you anchor them to.
I had some round head specialty screws that fit perfectly. Look sharp!Screwed mine to oak 1x4. Should hold everything I'd ever want to hang up just fine. I'll guess the screws will pull out before the hooks break.

Simple, sturdy coat hooks!
We had a coat rack with die-cast zinc alloy coat hooks (Home Depot). Looked nice. White rack - white hooks. But over time two of the hooks snapped off. So, I ordered a set of these kind of vintage-looking cast iron coat hooks (those clever Chinese....). They're much stronger than the original hooks, and I was able to mount them on the original coat rack, so....voila!

Great Coat Hooks
My wife wanted me to make a rustic coat rack for our entry way. That, of course, required rustic coat hooks. These coat hooks are perfect. Strong, attractive and durable. I'm very pleased with this product in every way.

Great option
I wanted some rustic hooks for an outdoor towel rack I was making. These are a great size for towels and appear to be quite sturdy. I did coat them with some matte finish clear spray paint to make sure the finish didn't bleed onto the towels.
