I receive my second order of wax (which was finally enough to cover all my blocks) and immediately began melting it to cover my homemade cheese.The melting was perfect, quick, and covers beautifully on my block of cheese. To melt the entire block was extremely easy, as,I have quite learned how to cut it into smaller pieces without a lot of struggling. To be honest, I gave up and simply put the entire block in my double broiler and just held it as it melted (which wasn’t as long as I thought it would be). It dries extremely fast on my cheese (perfectly encasing it to begin the aging process) and I found that what I didn’t need and stored away, the second time I reheated it, was as awesome as the first. It melted very easily and was still just as easy to use as the first time. The tear away, or removal from the cheese is actually just as simple and easy as melting and brushing it on. Easier in fact. It’s a very good quality wax and I’d probably try buying it again from this company.

We used this wax to seal mushroom spores into logs to grow mushrooms. The wax was easily melted and worked well for our process. We got it in one day and it was very affordable.

I bought this to dip my different cheeses for storage and it worked perfectly. The price is why I purchased this brand.

I guess it did its job. However, I did not realize it would take about an HOUR to melt. And...make sure you do not drip the wax because it's not so easy to clean it up. I melted in a double boiler and used an Oven Bag so I could save any unused wax to use later. I dipped 6 pounds of cheese and had plenty of wax left over. Just let it cool in the Oven Bag and packed it away for later.

Works very well, easy to use.

I waxed some Colby jack cheese and used some the other day and it is perfect and has been sitting on my counter

I smoked various cheeses to give as Christmas presents. I ordered tis wax to preserve the cheese. In a double boiler it melted very easily. I chose to brush it on the cheese with a paint brush rather than dipping. The wax cooled very quickly on the cheese and it looked beautiful. My friends and family were quite impressed. I did have a slightly hard time cutting off a small chunk to put in my double boiler, I didn't want to melt the whole block, but my husband came to the rescue. It is worth the money and I will definitely purchase again in the future.

It can be re-used, saving money.

This is my first time using this product and I'm very impressed. I'm using it to wax my home made ricotta salata cheese and this wax is great. It's easy to use and is completely odorless of course. If you're a cheese maker I highly recommend this wax for this application.

As advertised. Arrived quickly. I love the deep red colour. It was easy to use.

i had bought big block cheese and cut in 2 in squares and dipped wax, lasts for a long time. only thing that it is a bit pricey

I found that after dipping my cheese wheel into it, it took a long time to dry between coats and when I went to pick it up off the foil it stuck. I didn't dare put it on a mesh rack bc I think it would stick even worse. I'm going back to beeswax. It was fast-drying, easy to use and smells lovely. A bit disappointed bc the red colour in this wax really was lovely.
