Perfect for DIY Property Management
This is an easy to use, money saving product for landlords. If you have a few doors, you can save money by cutting keys yourself. If you add up your time and cost of keys at a hardware store, it takes making a few sets of keys to break even but in the long run this guy will save a fortune. It is sturdy, serves a purpose, and It always gets comments in my shop

Can’t get anything better for the price
I’ve had this key cutting machine for almost 5 months and I have to say I love it. For not being made in the USA it does the job well. Very user friendly for the beginner. I had never cut a key in my life and had no problem cutting one. Haven’t messed any key yet. I’ve cut all kinds of keys with perfect results. Take your time and follow the instructions. Very easy. I’ve cut transponder keys with no problem too. And for the price you just can beat it. I really recommend this machine.

Best choice for the price
This would receive a five star rating if it had instructions. It is not a professional tool, but if you pay attention, it does cut keys very well. I have made quite a few keys so far and all have worked well. I think I made the right choice in selecting this model. Well satisfied with product so far.

Overall sturdy but small piece broke.
I do love the holder but the little Apple that came with it to hold the power chord immediately broke. I barely put pressure on it and it broke into pieces. I would like to get that piece replaced

Great little machine
This key duplicator works surprisingly well for its cost. I've been using it for several months and haven't had any issues. it makes consistent accurate cuts. If you didn't know how to use a key duplicator, you might have a hard time with the instruction manual.

VERY inaccurate cuts.
Spent a day taking it apart and adjusting everything possible because it would not produce a working copy. And I'm a retired machinist and locksmith. But I still couldn't get an accurate cut. Finally able to get "almost" acceptable cuts but its clear that to get precision the mounting holes in the cast iron base will need to be moved - and that's a big job.It is still worth the money even if I decide to make my own new base-plate from a piece of 1/4" new steel. But first I'll take it completely apart and see if the cast iron base is truly flat. I may be able to mill it flat if that's the problem.I'm thinking there is a "hump" in the middle of the base-plate which is causing the copied key to be off by (as counted from the shoulder of the key as 0 and the first cut is 1).... this is the best so far when measuring the cuts on the copy.0 = 0 to 2 thousands over (not cut deep enough)1 = 0 to 4 thou over (2 or 3 thou under or over is "acceptable" but not precision)2 = 4 thou Under (cut too deep)3 = 9 thou Under, again too deep4 = 10 thou Under, too deep5 = 8 thou Under, too deepThese results were after Many attempts and adjustments. For me to be 10 thousands of an inch off after spending a day adjusting it is a testament to this machine's problems. But now I think I have it figured out, just need to put the work into fixing this problem. If you are not Very handy with tools I'd say this is definitely NOT the machine for you to buy.It is not plug and play. And yes, I know I can use thin metal shims to compensate for the plate not being flat, that's still an option. And I can now produce a "working" copy of a key but it is far from precise.A copy of this copy absolutely will not work the lock.

very easy to use
i will never have to rely on "18 year old experts" to make my keys again.

Used (refurb?) or very old stock.
Unit was DIRTY, traveler knob not set right and woudn't turn. Bottom (wiring) insulator is cardboard and disintegrated when touched. Ground wire attached by one final strand.Instructions small slip of paper with about 10th generation copy for a DIFFERENT machine. (Poor translation not unexpected.)That said, when cleaned up, adjusted and made electrically safe, it has worked served my needs but overpriced for what was received.
