Journey Girls 18" Doll, Kelsey

This doll is absolutely lovely. The hair is soft, her dress is well-made, and the size is perfect for my daughter to carry around. The limbs move easily and she’s great for both playtime and collecting.A perfect gift to light up any little girl’s eyes!

She was on sale for 43% off at19.99 along with Kelsey the red-haired doll, and Kyla the brown hair doll ( the last of who I also wanted but got sold out before I could get to my cart to purchase). Y'all.... For real, I cannot say enough nice things about this doll that was a fifth of the cost of an American girl doll. Which is exactly why I got it because my 2-year-old granddaughter likes to play with my 22-year-olds American girl dolls, some of which are collectible and of course I don't want a toddler playing with $100 dolls. For 20 bucks if she messes these up, who cares! They are still of excellent quality, they come with the outfit and the shoes, Kelsey comes with a hat. I didn't put up any pictures because there's no need to they look exactly how they show you online. They come in a nice little cardboard box that has a purple printed bow and some details on it, and once you open that box it has a bit similar thing to the American girl doll with facing on the front where the head part is cut out so you can see their face. So it was still packaged really nice like you would expect a more expensive doll to be. The only thing where American Girl might have an edge is in the clothing material, which was still beautiful but just not as higher quality as the American Girl doll on brand outfits. These dolls are also cheaper than the my generation dolls and definitely better than them. And their faces are much more expressive and not all similar like the American Girl dolls. If your child doesn't care about brand names, but is into these 18-in dolls that are like them and have play sets and clothing you can get for them... I'd definitely go with the Journey brand dolls again. I have a few of them on my wish list to round out my granddaughter's collection, hoping they're still there by then!

This was my 5 y/o daughters Santa gift this Year! Asked Santa for a doll with hair like her! She is beautiful and worth every penny! Her hair is silky smooth and the clothes she comes with are cute!

This is my second JG doll, my first from Just Play. The newer dolls have better head tilt (at least compared to my older doll.) The quality otherwise is basically the same - delightful with soft beautiful hair and a nicely designed/sewn outfit.This doll was originally called Adriana but they changed it to Alana.If you like her overall look then you should enjoy her. I'm very pleased!For doll collectors: she arrived in absolutely perfect condition and the carton was pristine. This particular JG box doesn't feature a clear viewing window. She displays beautifully with other dolls.5 Stars

Comparing this doll to the most expensive 18" doll on the market.Photo inspection included.The box is the first thing noticed. It's flimsy and inevitably destroyed while removing the doll.The other brand is sturdy enough to keep for storage or redecorate as a trunk for accessories.Accessories were not included with the amazing girl. Though some have story line accessories, this one did not.The eyes stand out as light filled and more realistic in coloration than the other brand. Though the amazing girl eyes on this doll are fixed open and the other brand closes when laid down.The hair is much better than expected but falling short, not by much though. Obvious shiny plastic hair that dies stretch when brushed and snarles easier. It's head mounted rather than a wig. The weft (rows of hair sewn to a wig)on the other doll is almost 1/2" apart at some points where this amazing girl has hair closer together than that and suitable for various styles. Surprised by the ponytail on this doll not showing and stubbed hair as the other doll's wig has the short hairs that anchor the hair in the wig sprouting out ruining a pony tail style.The face is beautiful and a bit more exaggerated in the pouty mouth and chubby cheeks. Overall a very pretty face for my amazing girlThe legs stand out immediately as different. They're mounted well and she stands as well as the other doll, but they are almost unnaturally distanced by the body.The feet are narrower on the amazing girl and the legs are thinner/slimmer.The body also allows you to dress your amazing girl in low cut, off shoulder, or strapless styles as the shoulder and chest are vinyl as well. The other doll has fabric up to the face making low cut looks appear odd.So far I'd say Amazon's amazing girls are very much THAT... AMAZING!

The doll looked exactly like the photo and arrived in perfect condition. My daughters were very satisfied and have had these dolls for over two years. They still absolutely love them! They’re durable, well-made, and even suitable for a 4-year-old. A wonderful, lasting purchase.
