Wasn’t an exact match to my old plastic one on the brand’s new enclosed trailer i bought, but its held up a lot better than the old one! Seems sturdy enough to keep the door open in moderate winds.

Replaced the 6" door catch on a Lance camper with this 4" model. Glad to find this in stainless steel as the old one had rusted. The new one is lighter weight, but serves the purpose and the screw holes aligned perfectly on both pieces. The hard part of the installation was getting the bend angle on the male piece right so the catch would fit into the female receptacle attached to the door. To do so, I tightened the male piece in a vice and used a cheater bar to bend the two rods simultaneously, being careful to keep the t-end in alignment. Once the bend was as close to correct as I could get it, I used a die grinder to expand the notched area on the female side so the fit was perfect. No complaints; it works well!

I have had this style before, but these are not spring loaded, meaning if the wind blows, they rattle, and easily come undone. The spring loaded ones are awesome, these are not awesome. These don't rust, and there were easy to install.
