LOVE IT!
Bought this for my roommate who is disabled, but loves to cook. Prior to becoming disabled, he had always used a regular non-electric wok on his gas stovetop. He never washed his wok - just wiped it down to keep it seasoned. He made the best stir fry ever! A stroke messed up his left hand and now he has trouble managing any stove-top pot or pan. Some of the reviews had me a little hesitant but decided to go for it. Turns out this is a great little appliance. Even better, it's a breeze for my disabled roommate to use! He says it's as close to a real "over-a-gas-flame" wok you can get. He actually had to show me how to use it - and now I'm hooked too!It is pretty big so make sure you have someplace to store it when not in use. It's super easy to clean (submersible and dishwasher safe). PLEASE NOTE: This is NOT a non-stick wok! But in our opinion, makes for much better tasting food. Best to wash immediately after use with only very mild soap and water. As long as it's still a little hot, anything burned or stuck cleans right up.It comes with a somewhat small wooden cooking utensil but a metal wok spatula works best so you can scrap up all the goodness that sticks to the bottom of the wok during the cooking process. Best of all, it produces Asian food like it came straight from a Chinese/Thai/Japanese/Korean restaurant. Tonight I'm going Mexican and making fajitas which also require high heat to come out right! It gets super hot, super fast and we start it off at around 350 degrees, and turn it up if needed. Always let it pre-heat. When cooking with high heat, always, always, always have your ingredients prepared first. Any hesitation or stopping during the cooking process and the thing will smoke up the house while you scramble around trying to catch up before your smoke alarm goes off. Can't say it enough: ALWAYS have the food prep done way before you start cooking.Wok oil is a must. Depending on what ingredient you start off with first (meat or veggies) always let it heat back up before adding the second batch of ingredients. Haven't tried any deep frying yet, but the same applies. Start with the heat low and adjust accordingly.Only thing missing that would make this product complete is a tempura rack. After a little food prep, at the end of only a matter of maybe 5-10 minutes actual cooking time, you'll have a wonderful meal ready to go! We absolutely love this particular wok and very happy with out purchase. Would definitely recommend!

Besides looking nice, it heats fast
While reviewing several woks on Amazon prior to making a purchase, it was the manufacturer’s continual attention to customer’s inquiries that hooked me on this one. They appeared to read each review and responded helpfully to any customer that was having any type of issue. We've used this wok two times per week minimum since receiving it. Besides looking nice, it heats fast, holds a consistent temperature, and cooks delicious, healthy food in a matter of minutes. Vegetables are tender, but crisp. Meat strips cook up in a snap. It is lightweight, but sturdy for plating. The handles do not get hot. The included wooden spatula works perfectly on the flat bottom, as well as on the rounded sides. Clean up has been a breeze, except for one time when I cooked several servings and neglected to wipe out the bottom of the wok between servings. If their directions are followed for cleaning it is very easy to keep it looking brand new. Would have invested more for a good wok, but this one came at a very reasonable price. Recommended if you are looking for an electric wok.

Love it
Really works great. Cleans up with hot water and stainless steel scrub without using soap. Clean in a minute. I've done fries, fish, eggs, sauteed greens and made a soup in it. I had to watch the temp as it really can put out the heat. Heats up in no time flat. I use a thermal gun to check temps. I got a grid so I can steam with it. When frying I just tip the lid off to the side. With the eggs, I read up on line about frying the egg then putting in a small amount of water and covering with the lid to what ever cooking level needed. This kind of made the rest of my pans irrelevant although I used one of my cast iron pans to make a grilled cheese last night. The flattened bottom is about six and a half inches so it's really like a combination of pan and wok. One good thing is that I don't have to heat my oven forever to cook fish (I don't eat red meat) so I save a lot of time and money. So bottom line, I bought a great cooking tool and the price was right. If I had a Walmart in my neighborhood I could have gotten it even cheaper and buy it there or buy online and do a store pickup.A bit of an add-onI bought a round grid to put in it so I can steam tamales or whatever. I hard boil eggs by starting at a low simmer to heat the eggs in an easy manner then crank it up so that I don't crack the shell. I fry veggies, add water, add noodles, stir in eggs and add bullion (Better Than Bullion, Smart & Final) and I've got a nice meal-in-one.So, still loving it!
