Everything you need to know about trim right here!
This is a great product. I bought 2 to replace shower controls in a 45 year old mobile home. BUT, you need to know all the following:- The hot and cold control valves are ceramic valves that do not use traditional valve seats (small conical brass part that can be screwed into the mixer body). In fact, the body does not have a threaded receiver for a valve seat. Instead it has a flat, smooth surface for the ceramic control valve to seat on - which means it will only work with the ceramic control valves that come with it.- There is not a complete trim kit that fits this mixer valve. Even the very few Pfister says will work, won’t. That is because every complete trim kit is designed to fit the valves included in the kit - and none of the kits out there (and I looked at a bazillion of them) include ceramic control valves. They ALL include traditional valves with screw in valve seats. You can buy replacement ceramic valves by themselves but not in a trim kit.- To complete the trimming on this, you must buy flange/tube kits separately from the handles. There are only a few different flange/tube kits that fit the included ceramic control valves. The Danco 10307 (see pic) is really cheap, looks great, and fits the ceramic control valves perfectly. Those come in chrome or brushed nickel. You can buy the flanges separately from the tubes (as suggested in another review) but you will pay a LOT more.- Once you have flanges and tubes covering the valves, you have to find handles with 12 notches to fit the end of the control valves. They are fairly common but can be kinda expensive. I bought a complete trim kit (control valves, flanges, tubes, and handles) for less than three separate handles from the big box store. I tossed the valves, flanges, & tubes and kept the handles. Search for “Verve handles” and there are some reasonable options available.Do not try to use a traditional control valve from a complete kit in this mixer. While they appear to fit without using the conical seat, they do not seat well on the flat surface in the body - and will leak. I found a review where someone did that and complained that it leaked.Hopefully this information will help you move forward. I guess I need to qualify my “everything you need to know” statement: “Everything you need to know for Verve or verve-like trim” would be more accurate. I can’t really speak to other types of handles. I don’t know why they make it so difficult to get trim that fits this body - but who knows why people do stupid things anyway.

Trim Kit Information! These are the answers you were seeking, along with the meaning of life...
Great Product and I know the secret now. The trim kit is almost impossible to find information for. I was able to find more information on the Abominable Snowman and Lochness monster than a trim kit. The recommended choices are expensive and not so great looking. After weeks of research this is what you need!3- Pfister 972-201A Reversible Sleeve, Polished Chrome These will screw into the plastic and covers and diverter valve They look to be reversible to give you different length3- Pfister 960801A Replacement Part These trim rings/flange will go with the sleeves above3- I believe any Pfister 3 handles will work. I used the Metal Verve Knob Handles.Pfister 3-Handle Tub & Shower Faucet with Metal Verve Knob Handles, Polished ChromeEdit:I did forget to include that this was a replacement, as my original order one of the valve stems were leaking. Amazon was quick to replace, but the wife was none to happy for two days.

Well made solid brass valve
If you are looking for a well made solid brass valve, this is the one to purchase. The body and valve stems are brass and the unit is well designed and constructed. I looked at a similar Moen valve at Home Depot and Lowes and there was no comparison to this unit. The Moen valve had plastic stems and was assembled from copper tubing, in my opinion it was basically junk. Although this Price Pfister valve is made in China it seems to be well made and a great buy for the price. Don't waste your time putting in a poorly made valve (only to have to replace it in a few years). This one looks like it should provide years of service.

Fits old Price/ Pfister 3 way Bathtub Faucet!
Got this to replace an old Price/Pfister Bathtub fill faucet. Was exactly what I needed. Removed old valve and fittings from the inlet pipes and put the pipe fittings right on. Then installed the 3 way valve. Only trouble I had was getting it tight enough so it quit leaking. But was able to. Some people were having difficulties finding the Sleeve to fit. I have found Locally Thrifco products that works. The Escutcheon Sleeve number is 819-T This is the sleeve that screws onto the valve body. It is long, so it has to be able to screw all the way till it hits the valve body. (Through the wall) You can see how far it sticks out in the picture. The other piece covers the hole in the wall. Part # 829-T 1 1/4 Tube Escutcheon. (The bigger chrome round thingy) These products cost me a bit less then what's on here. I did also have to replace my handles. Mine were to long after the new Tube Escutcheon were in place. Was able to find some Price handles that fit the splines. Installed a couple of weeks ago and left open for a week to checks for leaks. None happened, so closed up the wall. One problem I do see is replacement of the valves. These are different than any I've seen. They do Not have a seat, just a plastic insert that uncovers the water inlet hole to allow flow. We will have to see how long that lasts.

Missing hardware.
The valve arrived with no tail pieces and no union nuts. Without those parts, it is useless. With this kind of quality control from Pfister, I am tempted to choose another brand.

All tap manufactures do not have standard manifold threads, check before you buy.
Compatible with Pfizer taps, didn’t realise there were different manifold thread standards between Walter/delta and pfister. Had to open wall to replumb, fortunately had spare old tiles.

Great replacement for my 1972 tub/shower valve assembly
Great replacement for my 1972 tub/shower valve assembly.. Works a little better with the brass assembly than the older one, no stiffness in the valves..
