Insanely Good For The Price
Ordered V2 of this lens for the Fuji mount. I am by no means a macro photo guru so take what I say with a grain of salt...That said the lens is really good, especially for the price. I was looking at Macro lenses and didn't want to spend a fortune since I'm only using it for photos of flowers and food. I almost decided on a Fuji that was 3-4 times the price. Then stumbled upon this lens. Figured for the price, it was worth a shot. It exceeds my expectations. I'm using it with an XT4 and a macro focusing rail. I basically set the lens to 1:1 and then use the focus rail to get things in focus. A cheap off camera flash and you get decent photos without a lot of stress. Definitely would buy again.

Great piece of glass
This is a very nice lens. Solid build and clean glass. Took some beauty shots with it for the first shoot-I and the client could not be happier. Well worth the price and better than other more expensive lenses I’ve used over the years.

Aperture is a little dark
The aperture isn't open all of the way at F/2.8, so there's slightly less light getting to the camera than what it could of been. For some strange reason, there has been an accumulation of dust inside the lens after about a year of owning it, despite myself using caps on both sides when not in use. I'm not sure what the reason for that is, but it's a problem that I've not had with any of the other four lenses that I've bought for my X Mount camera. As for macro performance, the magnification is about the same as advertised. Used with extension tubes, the image can still hold up greatly.

Great macro lens
This is a really unique lens both in design and how it fits in the Fuji ecosystem. I had been looking for a macro lens but most are expensive. 7Artisans came together to prove that a good lens can be built and built well for lower cost. this one is it. The lens is metal, not plastic, the lens hood that comes out while you focus is also made of metal. the pictures are crisp and clear.

Great budget macro lens!
This is a really unique lens both in design and how it fits in the Fuji ecosystem. Prior to this the macro options were really limited to the excellent but pricey Fuji options or using extension tubes. After using the 7artisans for a few weeks I can’t see myself ever investing in the more expensive lenses. Sure, it is manual focus but I can’t see myself ever using auto focus in macro shots. Edge-to-edge sharpness is excellent, the fit on my Xt2 is perfect and the focus ring has a great feel and just the right amount of focus change with each movement. Amazing performance regardless of the price. I have purchased 4 lenses by this manufacturer and all have exceeded my expectations. I could see myself upgrading to the native Fuji lenses in the others where auto focus could be of benefit, but this macro lens is a keeper!

As sharp as they come
From what I can tell this lens has a very decent build quality, it feels solid, no playa, heavy metal construction.I've tried it on a few small items that usually lie about on my desk and it looks to me as sharp as other macro lens I've used/owned over the years. I actually think that it will benefit from adding a macro focusing rail slider to my gear bag, but as it is the lens is very confortable to hold, focus and shoot, although it balances better (for me) on my X-E3 than on my X-Pro2 (I still have to try it on the X-T2 winding its way towards me as I type. So, congratulations 7artisans, yet another excellent lens (I already have the 7.5mm and the 55mm f1.4) at a realistically affordable price for the non/semi-professional.

Best bang for your buck macro lens
I mostly got this lens because I do my own film development and scans. I use this macro lens and either my Fuji xt1 or xpro2 to do the “scans”. Image quality is great especially once you stop down to f/4-5.6. It’s 100% manual though so it is not going to do great with trying to get a quick shot, but if you can take the time to setup and dial in your shot you will love the results.Only sort of con I have is that when I mount this on my X-Pro2 it fits extremely snug, but on my X-T1 it fits like any other lens. Not sure why. But I mostly use this on my X-T1 so I am not worried about replacing this lens.

Outstanding for the price
As a Fuji user I used this on an EX3 and Xpro1, I'm also going to compare it to the Fuji 60mm 2.4 (Macro) lens. First off, very pleased with build quality. I was expecting something more plastic, but it feels nice and solid, definitely feels more expensive than it is. The focus ring is perhaps one of the worst features of the Fuji 60mm with the manual focus being incredibly hard work, you could turn that thing for days for very little result - although I guess some serious Macro photographers will prefer that, this however, is completely the opposite - focus moves very quickly - which I like - I did some macro stuff and I do personally prefer being able to focus more quickly, and if you're doing portraits with it you'll also prefer the quicker focus. The focus ring also has a nice firmness to the movement too - it could be a little tighter for me - but not really going to complain but it may be something to watch as it gets more use. The sharpness is good. Wide open it's ok, the Fuji is sharper - stopped down to around the mid point it's really good and comparable to the Fuji. If you're looking for a 60mm then this should be a serious consideration - unless you're always shooting wide open then I'd give this a go - in fact for the price it's worth giving a go anyway - the Fuji 60mm is 600 bucks and doesn't auto focus unless its in a really bright room! This is frankly an absolute bargain compared to the competition.
