Valterra T38 Fixed Wye Double Valve Assembly with 3" Hub x 1-1/2" Rotating Hub x 3" Bay with Cap,Black

Although I received this about a month ago, people who know what it is will understand my lack of enthusiasm for installing it, I just installed it this last weekend. Since I was going to be "getting into it" anyway, I decided to also change out the the whole black water tank as well as the previous owner appearantly was either a habitual drunk driver or like to go off road alot in our 1985 Fleetwood Southwind. All my tanks have some amt of damage. Anyway, to state that the valve installation was the simplest, most straight forward part of the job is an understatment. I, of course, started with well drained and rinsed gray & black water tanks, then proceeded to remove the existing "Y" valve by sawing through the old abs pipes right at the collars of the old "Y" for both the 1.5" & 3". Perserving as much of the existing pipe as possible. Home Depot has a great little saw for this. It's made by Milwaukee, looks like a dry wallers hole saw, but uses any sawzall blade and closes like a switch blade.. Compact, versital, I like it. With a little abs glue, elbow grease and 2 new fittings, one ridgid 45° and one flexible 90° I would have been able to have this done in under a day. But, seeing as I was also replacing the tank, it took the weekend. That thing was impossible, almost! Since the install of the valve, I now realize how overdue this was! The new valve was a perfect replacement for the old one. It functions beautifully. Opens and closes smoothly, no effort required whatsoever. The seals are tight. The peace of mind invaluable. For this job, in addition to the cost of the valve, I think I spent another $20 at Home Depot. That's it. Great product, fast shipping, happy camper!

This is a sturdy part. Fit well onto our 2004 travel trailer after a mishap trying to park. HOWEVER------ the first one I ordered that we put on was missing a seal. Sadly, we didn't know until we were at a state park and had to spend the remaining part of our time 1)not using the bathroom in our camper due to the piece not being complete and 2) catch the drip from the black tank and take care of any issues. It was a pretty big hassle. Amazon customer service was great and as soon as I told them that it was still leaking, they sent a repair. Once we took the 1st one off is when we realized that it did not have a seal in each place the new one had. After putting the 2nd valve sent on, it has held up perfectly. Just a little irritating that the first time was something out of our control. Seals are VERY important for any water or sewer pieces!!!!

Unbelievable my Camper is a 1984 Wilderness and ( 34 years later ) the new Valterra T38 Gate Valve was an "EXACT MATCH"... I unbolted the old valve and installed the new Valterra T38 valve in less than 30 minutes... It works GREAT we couldn't be happier...

Would not like to try making one of these at home for the same price...very good tolerances for parts fitting together. Note that it is made of ABS so use no primer if joining to PVC components, just the universal cement. No leaks after assembly and a has valve seals that feel likely to last.

I'm new to trailers and spent the winter rebuilding a section of a 20 year old travel trailer. Among many things needing replacement was the wye valve which apparently had freeze damage. This valve was an almost exact replacement and works great.

A hacksaw and screwdriver and this was simpleto replace. The part was 50% less than dealer and was simple to install.

I need to do an upgrade on my RV and this will work fine. I have not installed this yet but it will fit for my application and the sale price I got was great !
