A comparative review
Okay so this is a comparative review because I just spent that past two months trying to figure out which supplements are the best to be taking for helping with increasing my focus and productivity at work, and eliminating my procrastination. For starters, I first ordered the Alpha Brain as it came highly recommended to me by a friend who has been taking it for almost a year now. For her, she told me Alpha Brain helped her focus so much that she only took it when she was really on crunch time at work and really needed to increase her focus. After the Alpha BRAIN (30ct) The Flagship Complete Balanced Nootropic Supplement by Onnit Labs , I ordered Addium - Limitless Pill - the Most Powerful Brain Enhancer in the World 60 caps , which is supposed to be like the drug from Limitless (yawn movie) but also has lots of good reviews from both people on Amazon and other sites. Finally, I also purchased NootropX - 90 caps - Mental Focus and Concentration Supplement With Memory Enhancement For Extreme Clarity and Alertness - Instant Brain and Memory Power Boost From Patented AES® Absorption System - The Ultimate Brain Vitamins because I use the same company’s other supplement TranquiliX - 90 Caps #1 Top Rated For Rapid Anxiety and Stress Relief - Pharmaceutical Grade Anti-Anxiety Formula for Relaxation and Stress Reduction With Mood Support & Patented AES® Delivery System for Maximum Absorption , which I’ve been using the past few months and it works like a charm. Anyway, back to my review. Here are the results I foundAlpha Brain: Gave me great clarity and focus after just a few days, really felt great, but after about ten days of taking them continuously I started getting a bit jittery, which I didn’t like at all.'Addium: Worked after just a day, saw a difference the next morning after taking them, but they just made me feel more alert rather than focused. I felt a bit “floaty” and had tons of energy, but it wasn’t what I was looking for.NootropX: Also gave me really great clarity and focus, but didn’t give me any funny feelings in my head. I really liked it, and I found that after about a month, I didn’t need to take one daily anymore to have the same effects. So all in all, I’ve decided to continue with the NootropX over the Alpha Brain because while they have very similar results, the nootropx doesn’t give me jitters, and I feel a bit more calm on it. Also, this may be completely irrelevant, but if I’m going to be mixing supplements, I like the idea of using two from the same company. At the end of the day, supplements are different for everyone, but I wanted to put this review on the Alpha Brain page because IT DOES WORK, and it does what it’s supposed to do, but with my particular body chemistry it didn’t work out. I’ll still give it a good rating!

I have noticed somewhat better memory, a slight improvement in focus and a ...
I have only been taking this for three days. I will be back after I finish the bottle. I started taking this because I watched a Pete Holmes HBO special and from that found his podcast- on WHICH he advertises for this and says that he uses it. I was taking it for help with writer's block. Still, I started taking it very much as a skeptic. So far, I have noticed somewhat better memory, a slight improvement in focus and a slightly more significant process speed improvement -maybe in such a short time this could be chalked up to simply having a good day. I certainly would not even classify this as anecdotal evidence this soon. However the reason that I am rating this product so early on is to give somewhat of a warning about the dreams. I have been taking 2 in the a.m. and 2 in the p.m. The dreams are indeed oddly vivid. They are not at all nightmarish but I am always really really happy to wake up from them and the dreams MAKE me wake up - so my sleep (which was fine until now) is interrupted. For about three years now I have listened to podcast to go to sleep (it drowns out the snoring next to me). Ordinarily, I set the podcast to last until the episode ends. I am rarely awake more than five minutes and end up listening to the podcast the next day. The first night that I took Alpha Brain I incorporated the podcast into a dream (again Pete Holmes and this time guest Phoebe Robinson). I concocted (in my sleep) a huge plot that Phoebe was trying to seduce Pete and I could not get her to shut up or convince Pete to listen to be or see the light. It was exhausting. Then, I proceeded to dream two more dreams (that I remember) that same night. The next two nights I also remembered two dreams, each night, sans (thankfully) the podcast dream. The only other time that I remember dreaming like this was when I was younger and pregnant. Since I am in my 60s, I can say for sure that this is not the case now. I just can not take the dreams any more. Hopefully if I only take two in the a.m. this will stop. I will come back and post something when I have taken Alpha Brain longer.I am not sure how may days it has been, but I did stop taking the p.m. pills and have for sure seen an improvement in the exhausting dreams. I still think that it is too early to say if Alpha Brain is making a significant difference in focus and process speed so I am not changing the rating yet. However, I am leaning toward upping it to 4 starts. This is certainly something that is very difficult to quantify outside of a lab and because these are so expensive I am really reluctant to encourage someone to spend the money. I will say, for now, that the dreams have been controlled with dosage and I definitely do not have any other negative side effects. I will also say that there is a possibility that Alpha Brain does at least some of what it advertises.
