They were so engaging and fun, I immediately ordered it
I had the pleasure of attending a conference where James Harding presented activities from this book. They were so engaging and fun, I immediately ordered it! The lessons are organized with very clear instructions, and the illustrations make me smile during lesson planning. I highly recommend this book to anyone who would like their students to have more of a hands-on, whole class approach to music!

Great for Orff Specialists, as well as for educators who are trying to learn about Orff, learn MORE about Orff activities, or folks who long to blend their knowledge of Kodaly concepts and sequential method WITH Orff ideas and techniques. Phenomenal Collection of Engaging Material
As a former student of James', I knew this book would be gold, but it went even above those high expectations. The lessons are engaging and innovative and James' light-hearted style is evident. The book made me smile countless times! Some of my favorite lessons and opportunities for student learning include: Friday the 13th, Cuckoo and Eggs, Loose Teeth, and The Wise Old Owl. A must for any Orff educator!

Fantastic resource for anyone teaching music in schools
Fantastic resource for anyone teaching music in schools. Lots of ideas for using rhymes, proverbs, singing games, props, instruments to teach music and link across the curriculum to other subjects. For example, brilliant ideas for using paper plates as props to support teaching a wide range of musical concepts. Also, lots of ideas for turning comparatively simple rhymes and songs into performances that would be great for assemblies or school shows. Detailed enough for music specialists and non specialists alike. I can't wait to put the ideas into practice.
