June Tailor Mix'n Match Templates for Quilters 6/Pkg-Leaf, (JT400-414)

I have not yet had a chance to use the leaf templates, but I have owned and used two other sets, the circles and hearts. In reading some of the reviews left by other people, many were disappointed that these templates were thin. Some of the reviews were quite scathing. I can only say that those who bought these templates with the idea of using them for cutting out patterns, must not have read the entire description. It clearly states that these templates are for APPLIQUE, not cutting repetitive shapes for piecework quilt tops or to use for creating quilting designs for stitching together the quilt "sandwich". They are perfect for the purpose that they are made for. If you need a thicker or heavier pattern piece, you can purchase quilt template plastic. I like that these shapes come in several sizes so that I don't have to try to enlarge the shape when I need larger leaves etc.

I have appliquéd for years, use freezer paper method by hand or machine, and have always found it difficult to get balanced leaves with the particular shape I like (not too narrow, not too fat, curved sides balanced, no curve off the tip) - I am not so much into freehand drawn flowers and leaves. I have cut my own plastic templates but they were not even - hence my purchase of these "no-brainer" templates. There is always a size I need, they are secured together so I am not as likely to lose them, and the plastic will hold up forever.

Product was a quilting template in different sizes which I will use to finish a quilt I am making.

These are a bit smaller than I thought but seam OK...plastic could be thicker.

Overall, I'm pleased with the purchase. I have the other templates and use them all the time. I do wish the material was a bit more rigid, because with a really good pair of shears, you could accidently cut the template. I like that the all the template shapes can be mixed and matched which opens lots of creative possibility.Maybe not the best choice for a hard core quilter, but for someone who likes to dabble, I recommend them as a good beginner's tool.

I am learning to hand quilt and purchased this Leaf package as a template to use on my samplers...very nicely constructed and I like the idea of the of the various sizes to choose from...and the package is a great vehicle to use to store them when not in use. I have purchased several Mix'n Match templates and find them to be quality products.

I should have known by the price. But I purchased these anyways. They are SO small. Be aware!!

Perfect set of leaf templates with centre marked. These are made from flexible template plastic the same weight as a typical purchased quilting template. They are sturdy but are only for tracing - not for cutting around with your rotary cutter. I'm using them to mark a quilting design so they are perfect for my purpose They would also work for traditional appliqué shapes. Because it was so inexpensive, I ordered this set first but to be sure I would like the. I will be ordering all the other shapes.

Great product, I made a small applique quilt for my new girl grandchild as soon as it arrived. Turned out really pretty. They aren't as big as I wanted originally, but that was down to me not looking at the product info correctly, not the product itself.

Useful collection of sizes for versatile designs. I appreciate the printed design inspirations included in the packaging.

These templates are excellent for more than just quilting. I do a lot of embroidery and use them to draw acurate designs.
