Awesome!
So far it’s better than lacrosse. It’s bigger than I expected. I had no idea. It was gonna be so big but that’s OK. It was very easy to get them to pair. I bought the display separately. I like the way it shows fast, wind speed changes. The lacrosse wind gauge used to take so long to show the current windspeed. This one is very fast. It hasn’t rained yet, but I can’t wait to see how that works. I would say it’s a very quality instrument.

Works as advertised
Works as advertised, nice looking unit, easy install. Just remember, this is the weather station only, you have to buy the digital receiving unit separately.

Perfect product for weather watching!!
Great product! Bought external hookup for easy battery replacement. Bought extra dual solar panel for easier cleaning. Only internal problem was the temperature/humidity sensor that had to be replaced after about 5 or 6 years. Easy to replace but so far not sold on Amazon....only directly from Accurite. Would not live without it!! 👍💕🌈🌧

Love this Weather Sensor BUT...
I have owned this sensor twice and have just purchased it a third time. The first 5 in 1 sensor I purchased was not the PRO version. It did not have the second solar panel and built in fan to provide more accurate temperature readings. The first sensor lasted about 1 year before it quit working as a result of ants. After cleaning out the ants, I was not able to get it working again. The sensor was just over 12 months old when I purchased a replacement. I purchased the PRO+ sensor as the replacement in July 2016. It worked perfectly until late this March when it quit registering rain. The problem isn't bug-related this time as no bugs have emerged from the winter yet. Apparently unrelated to the rain sensor, the sensor was producing a very rapid clicking sound which seems to be related to the cooling fan. When the weather station is working, it works GREAT! I love it and that is why I am buying my third sensor. This time around, however, I'm purchasing the 3 year warranty. One piece of advice, if you mount the sensor on a wooden post, I highly recommend you spray the post with bug repellant. Acurite also recommends you tape a moth ball inside the sensor. If you purchase this weather station you will not be disappointed. It's great but be prepared to deal with sensor problems.

Works Great
This is my third AcuRite 5-in-1 and I really like these units. My first one lasted about 8 yrs and I had to give up on it because it was not compatible with a Cat 2 hurricane that came through the Florida panhandle. My second lasted 10 years before it just gave out from age. This time I just ordered the outside 5-in-one unit because I already have two desk top displays that came with the other units and they were easy to pare together. I did get tired of changing batteries so I ordered the matching solar panel to keep it powered.I would not want a different weather station.

My Review of the AcuRite (5-in-1) Weather Sensor
Yesterday 19 April 2024 installed my 2nd AcuRite Iris (5-in-1) weather sensor with dual solar panels replacing the one I bought from Amazon back on 19 Mar 2019. This is a great weather device, and I also have the AcuRite Access online connected and can see my weather station with the APP on my phone world-wide, so I know what the weather is like when I'm out of town. I would highly recommend the (5-in-1).See attached photo.

Don't Waste Your Money! Its a disposible "TOY"...
I have owned the Acurite 5in1 PRO product since 2015. In 4 years, I have had to warranty replace and/or purchase 3 5in1 sensors, plus 2 aspirating fan components. I also have 3 additional temp/humidity sensors scattered about my home, as well as TWO color display units, and one Access unit (which is the forced 'upgrade' to replace my previous TWO access units - one replaced under warranty). As you can see, my experience with Acurite and replacements is pretty extensive as well as with the product. I have also invested hundreds of dollars and lots of time. I am an engineer, and I can truthfully say that everything about this Acurite product system is JUNK!Yes, the price and design are attractive - but that's it. They claim the product can transmit data 330' (Line of Sight), yet mine has connection issues (even with Access unit upgrade) at 75' through a wood 2x4 exterior wall. My first 5in1 sensor had to be replaced under warranty as it wouldn't even reliably and consistently connect to the displays, let alone to the older access unit.My second 5in1 sensor just failed in March 2019 after only being in service 2 years. Stopped sending data again. PLUS the aspiration fan, to maintain steady temperature readings and solar powered, failed 2x on that 5in1 unit and I had to disassemble the sensor to replace it. BTW, I have the PRO version with the dual solar panels.Because of my ongoing issues, I had purchased a THIRD unit on Amazon back in August of 2018 (for a good deal) just to have on hand in case my second 5in1 sensor failed (which it just did as I described above). In March 2019, I put that one in service and it worked fine right until a few weeks ago. I started having issues having the 5in1 sensor randomly stop communicating with the new Access unit. Add to that, it now has another failed aspiration fan unit! I now literally want to burn all of this Acurite hardware in a bonfire! As other customers have stated, you can no longer call the company and speak to someone in support. Nope. You have to email customer support through their website, and they typically respond in 6-24 hours (probably an offshore contracted help desk). In this day and age, this is unacceptable. Of course, they put you through the common troubleshooting procedures to resolve the connection issues (placement, redoing setups, reset, etc.), but for us seasoned Acurite customers, this is child's play and I already did that with no success. My 'new' Access unit started randomly dropping connections not just with the 5in1 sensor, but also with two out of three inside temp/humidity units. They claim its not the Access unit, but some kind of interference issue. Yet, my Access unit and sensor hardware has been in the same location for YEARS, without much of an issue until recently. Is it all of the sensors? The Access unit? New WiFi interference sources? Or how about the whole system together? - YEP!As I am emailing Customer Service the last week and a half for my sudden connection issues, my aspiration fan unit in my latest 5in1 sensor stops working (Here we go AGAIN! Grrrr). You know this because your daytime temp readings are suddenly 10-15F higher than any other temp sensor in your area - with no natural explanation. They have now offered to send me a new component under warranty, but I have yet to make the decision to accept as I want this nightmare to end. Who wants to spend endless hours and $$ fixing this horribly executed product? Not me! "ain't nobody got time for that!!"Let my experience be a deciding factor in your purchase decision. Read the other reviews. Acurite has gone downhill in my opinion. Nothing but low-priced, low-quality junk at this point.I already have an Ambient Weather system at my lake house since 2016. I have honestly had NO ISSUES and I am going to purchase another AW setup to replace my Acurite system. Sure, I'll spend another $80-$100, but its worth not having the hassle to deal with this Acurite garbage.Good Luck to all.
