It’s iodine that’s clear. It works the same, smells the same, burns the same. It will stain white countertops so keep this in mind when using it.

Ammonia smell goes away
Works great. There was a strong ammonia smell initially. This goes away after using the product several times and allowing air in. I have used mine for about two weeks on and off and it now smells like normal iodine.
