Strong pump
Got this for a fish pond. I built in the backyard. It’s surprisingly a very strong pump I had about a 20 gallon pond not very big, but I think it would work for a bigger pond as well

Used for kiddie pool
The media could not be loaded. Used this for my kids (kiddie) 10ft pool. I just needed something to clean out the pool at the end of the day and this seemed like a better choice (for me) rather than getting a big bulky above ground pool filter with all sorts of tubing connection. I wanted something quick, easy to use, and to store daily after use. I don’t intend to use this while the kids are in the pool OF COURSE! (Common sense). I use it along with chlorine and algae remover over night and it seems to do the work just fine. Read a few good reviews on it and I’m glad I made the purchase!

Moves lots of water and filters well.
This pump and filter work great in my turtle pond. It does a great job moving the water and keeping it clear.

Don’t Buy
Lasted for 1 month of use. Finally got the fountain set up for Mother’s Day weekend. Already stopped working.

Amazing Pump!!!
Seriously! This is the best pump we have ever had!!! I have gone through more fish pond pumps then I can remember but this one is truly awesome. At first we cleaned the filter everyday to get the pond clear and it is crystal clear now. It took a few weeks and these pictures are when when we first plugged it in but it’s completely clear now, I can literally see the bottom on the pond. I did buy the replacement filters but we haven’t changed it yet, we just spray it with the hose really well, we take it off the pump of course, but the hose does a great job at gettin it clean. If you want an amazing pump that will get the job done right, buy this one, you won’t be sorry

Good While It Lasted...
...Which, unfortunately, was only 7 months. We installed it in a small outdoor fountain, and had it connected to a timer so it only ran during daylight hours. We cleaned it regularly and the fountain never ran dry. After 6 months, it seemed to develop a short and would stop intermittently (even when we bypassed the timer). Then, it just died.Reading the reviews of other pumps, it seems that quality control is all over the map, with many pumps not lasting much more than 1 year. If that's the case, I'll try something cheaper next time.

We use for outdoor dog water station
We have stainless steel steam tray pans in our front and back yards to give our dogs water. We have automatic timers for hoses that overfill them several times a day to keep the water fresh and cool, however we still had a problem with algae and crud building up, and potentially bugs (mosquitos, etc).We added a fountain pump to the pan to keep the water moving, and that is working well to keep the water palatable for the dogs. I used a couple of unfiltered cheaper pumps, but our well water was too much for them and we needed pre-filtering of the water entering the pump.I found these pumps that have the long filtered intake and started using them, and they work great. I actually lay them on their side so that they 'swirl' the water in the pan rather than create a fountain effect, because the pump on these is so powerful it had a tendency to drain the pan if the pump migrated closer to the edge.We now have two of these and so far they're working great. I assume that if you were to use them for a pond our fountain they would work similarly well, highly recommended.
