My 4 - now just turned 5 year old grand daughter is working her way thru these boxes of books.When we got to the "ANIMALS" box, the "MOP" story is our favorite so far.WHAT A SURPRISE!If you haven't checked out these books yet, do so !Children can read them by themselves.The stories are delightful.I sit and read a box at a time -And my grand daughter has developed a new "game" where she covers the first letter of each word and I have to read it to her making all the ridiculous sounds - while we both laugh together.There is NO intimidation or fear of failure.And NO worry of boredom with these simple sentences.The stories are LOVELY and simple.Watch out for the "MOP" !ENJOY

I bought these because my kids Montessori School has them and my 5 year old loves them. They are simple books that he can read on his own, and short enough that they keep his attention.

BOB books are how we taught our children to read. We love the animal stories as they build off of previous sets and are familiar characters.

These beginning readers are scientifically based to help your child read and not guess just by looking at the pictures. Must words are able to be decoded! Good quality and will last us for many children!
