Do not wait the day of your event to open this up because it requires assembly, although I had no idea everything is separate and the string that they give does not fit, I made it work by super gluing everything to the string. It actually turned out to be worth the 8 bucks , I would suggest that they should probably just make the top slip big enough and then they would have just had my 5 stars.

The letters are felt-like cutouts that are not pasted on well and it only comes with one string that’s not very long. However, I am grateful for the large plastic needle it comes with that makes stringing the pennants on much easier! I had some jute twine that I was able to use for the “birthday” part of the banner because I wanted it on two rows. It turned out looking great for my son’s first birthday party.

You have to string it, which I don't mind but I may have to hot glue some of the letters as they appear to be coming off.

You have to thread the letters on a string, but a plastic needle is provided. It was easy to do, but not I was not expecting that part. I would buy again however.
