Great quality
We own 2 of these keyboards, and my family really loves their durability and performance.

Not bad at all...
It arrived in like new condition. If it was ever used, I can't tell it from the condition. There are no scratches, or indications that anyone else has ever used it.It works great. I plugged it into a little Windows 8.1 SFF PC I use to stream video to my HDTV, and the drivers loaded for it automatically. I was worried that I might not like using it, but it's simplified use of the computer having the keyboard and mouse in one small unit, and only takes up one USB slot for the receiver. What would I change? I'd have liked scrolling to have been built into the side of the touchpad. Instead, I have to use the arrow keys to scroll up and down. I'd also have liked the touchpad to be a little less sensitive. The arrow on the desktop moves just a bit as you're removing your finger from the pad, which is a little annoying. Beyond those two little things, it's exactly what I needed, and wanted.I wish I could comment on battery life, but I've only been using it a couple of days. If it's like the last wireless keyboard I had, the batteries should last at least a month, but time will tell.Overall, I've given it 4 stars because of the touchpad. It's definitely worth the money. I'd buy it again, and may yet wind up buying another.

Favorite wireless keyboard.
Third one i've purchased. One was a gift years ago (which they still use) and this one i bought to replace my first one bc i love it so much. Easy to connect (about as easy as just plugging the USB adapter in to your computer - voilla).Good range, good key layout, nice sensitive pad. only gripe is that you can't adjust the touch features on the mousepad to my knowledge. So sometimes when scrolling on a website, if a second finger grazes the pad i'll accidentally zoom in or out. not a big deal though. backlight would be cool but again, i'm very happy with this thing.

Virtually unusable
Poor quality. This keyboard doesn't work well. It does not function in such a way that is usable or user friendly, nor is it comfortable or convenient to use. It is an outdated design made of cheap materials. Very uncomfortable to use. Not recommended!

Great for Home Theater PC
This is my third k400/k400r keyboard. It's a crappy little keyboard with sticky keys and the touchpad is somewhat difficult to control. HOWEVER, it works very well for my purpose which is HTPC. I can kick back and click buttons on the screen and start my favorite show. The keyboard is small but still allows you to touch type like a full sized keyboard. Since I am on the couch in my living room, I have the unit on my lap and the touch pad works sufficiently to click the icons on the screen. I'm not going to use this keyboard for any professional CAD type work and especially NOT FOR GAMING. If a key doesn't work the first time just hit it again. I would not use this keyboard for typing a 5 page essay, but it's great for Google searches when you are sitting at a distance from the computer. It doesn't need "line-of-sight" to work and the batteries last for several months- really like maybe over 12 months without turning off the keyboard. I have used two of these for over 4 years and they are still functional. You may be able to get a smaller HTPC keyboard, but remember, if you can't see the keys in the dark, it will be frustrating to turn the light on every time to peck out your Google searches. For me, this keyboard is the best compromise for size, long battery life, and functionality.

Made for Windows 8, supports "hand gestures"
I was even remotely aware of hand gestures in Windows 8, I have using Linux since 2018.Hand gestures have a way of interfering with normal keypad use, and they are not supported in Linux.I do not have anyway to disable hand gestures, and this wireless keyboard/mouse combo has been thesource of many unintended actions. I was recording using OBS Studio, and ended up with some videos thatdid not have sound, without me disabling the sound. Just yesterday, the video mode on my monitor waschanged without my knowledge or permission.Just getting my fingers too close to the touch pad, can create a lot of problems!!At another time, I could not login and needed to re-boot my machine.Needless to say, your computer BIOS will NOT recognize this Keyboard & mouse combo.I was going to setup a computer in my living room, and it was supposed to use this wireless keyboard/mouse.I have changed my mind after so much aggravation, and decided to use plain USB keyboard & mouse withUSB extension cables. It is probable a perfect wireless solution, if you are running Windows.I wish there was a way to disable hand gestures, and WITHOUT forcing me to run Windows!

My favorite version of logitech keyboards for low power computing
While I wouldn't use this in a server room because I need more functionality from a keyboard in that use case, this is my favorite keyboard. Its lightweight, small, responsive and has a touchpad/mouse built-in. For emails, setting up what I want to watch on Amazon, typing a review up on Amazon or ordering another lightly loved Logitech K400r via Amazon, it cannot be defeated. I am still sad that I haven't found a leftie version from Logitech--but I guess if I really wanted it, I'd build that myself.
