Camco 0122.1008 57453 Olympian Gas Match Lighter

Great product once you realize there is a black safety cap on it.When I first used this I was unable to get it to work. I did everything correctly, but still it wouldn’t work. Then I remembered a review I read about the cap placed on the tip of the lighter. It works, but I would recommend to the company to make it red /other color, so you remember to remove it. I believe they could also make it more clear in the packaging or instructions.

It was delivered in a timely manner and worked right away.

I messed up! I bought two of these three months ago, one for my RV and one for home. I live in a cold climate and did not open either until last week when planning to BBQ. I read the instructions, went to my local ACE Hardware and bought a Butane refill. I realized there was fuel in them afterwards. BBQ evening arrived and I attempted to light the torch. Nothing worked! It seemed like the striker did not operate. I added fuel, still nothing. I got out my second "GasMatch4," reread all the simple directions and had the same results, nothing. It was past the return date so these things go into the landfill while I try to give-away or donate the fuel. I've had good luck with Camco products in the past but their GasMatch4 is absolute junk.I called Camco Manufacturing. Talked to Paul in Customer Service. Paul advised that the GasMatch4 is made in China and comes with fuel. It can not be shipped by me. He said Camco had a three year warranty on this product but I should contact Amazon. They warranted the product for one year and I had bought it through them. He gave me the Amazon number to call. Most of us know the Amazon does not take calls anymore, they don't help with products, they no longer honor Prime shipping we paid for, aren't honoring refunds for service not provided and has generally become a very undependable and crappy company. They use the "hidden enemy" as their excuse for this. We all know this virus does not prevent phone service. That can be done by employees from home like nearly every other business in this country. Those employees did not need to be out of work. Hopefully WalMart or somebody, anybody, will come along and get this company some competition so they go back to being a good place to online shop.

Re-writing my bad review to say don’t be like me—remove the cap on the tip of the lighter before trying to light it 😅 It DOES work.

Works fine for me. I read a lot of reviews and went for a product with a warranty. Camco has a good track record with me.

Lights fast and has a great flame.

Easy to use

Was looks no for an electric gas burner lighter. Probably didn't read the description well enough! This a flame, liquid gas cartridge lighter. Not ideal for my use but works fine.
