Atomik RC Alloy Front Lower Bulkhead, Red fits the Traxxas 1/10 Slash and Other Traxxas Models - Replaces Traxxas Part 2530

Bought this for my 2wd Slash, its exactly like the one that came with the truck, just metal and painted obviously. Works great, it was exactly what I needed to replace my cracked plastic one. Only negative thing is the color. I was looking for a brighter red to match the other items I am replacing, and this one came in as a little darker red. Not an issue by any means, it just didnt match the color in the picture 100%.

Great hop up for bandit. I destroyed my front end and this bulkhead looks better and is more durable than original plastic.

So far the bulkhead seems pretty good. Got it installed last night and seemed to go ok.The one thing I didn’t like was that the existing screws go into the OEM plastic. However this piece has machined aluminum threads. The new bulkhead doesn’t come with new screws!!! Luckily I had two screws from another part that worked. If not I would be out of luck and either spend a couple hours looking at the hardware store hoping to find the same ones... Or spend a couple of days ordering and waiting for new screws!As far as the color... the color isn’t exactly the red I would expect from other parts I’ve ordered. This bulkhead has a slight pink or rosy tinge to it. Not the end of the world as most of the part is covered up. But would be nice if it was more of a true red like there other parts!

Atomik rc alloy is a cheaper brand although I heard that venom owns them but I'm not sure. I love atomik rc alloys aluminum parts. I be bought there front and rear a arms, c hubs, front and rear shock tower, of course the bulk head, shock caps, and a rear knuckle and they all hold up really well. I also have a veil on brushless system so it can really take some hard hits. No problems. Good buy. Also I just wish they had other decent colors like black, blue etc. they only carry like red orange and purple. If I were you I'd choose red though because it is pretty sick.

Perfect fit. And my 11 year old boys haven't managed to break it yet after a week or so of use so I'm happy.

Straight and to the point, the height and parallelism between the bottom and top surface is incorrect. As a result, it caused binding in the steering near the end points. I didn't think to check for this at assembly. Only after my servo saver stopped holding a consistent steering trim did I catch on to the problem. If I really wanted to, I could of shimmed between the bulkhead and upper chassis it but I decided to take it out instead. It's truly better served in the recycling can.These parts are CNC machined so if 1 is bad, an entire lot (perhaps all of them) will have the same error. I understand there are many positive reviews. However, considering that rc enthusiasts range from children to world class engineers may explain why not everyone recognizes the flaw.
