I’ve had all the top range action cameras including YI 4K plus and go pro 7 black and this osmo is by far the best so far. First thing you will notice is the build quality is solid and feels welll made, the touch screen responds flawlessly and is nice and bright, front screen is not touchscreen but it’s very useful, battery life is very good and there are many accessories you can buy like filters and mounts. Image quality is fantastic and smooth, HDR works very well in low lit conditions, I can’t think of any cons about this so if your looking for the best action camera on the market 2019 this is it. You won’t be disappointed.

I can truly say this is an amazing piece of kit. Very easy to set up and use camera quality is amazing and I'm loving the video quality loved in my time-lapse videosand will be using this when I do my diving

After two months recovering from my first terrible bicycle accident I suffered last January, I decided to invest in a camera for “safety reasons”. I watched many reviews on YouTube from GoPro to Insta360 and many more.I decided to go for the DJI Osmo action camera and since I bought it, I have no regrets.I’ve been using it everyday for a couple of months and I must say, it has never failed me once. Easy to use with only one touch and you are ready to go. The Video quality is great for the purpose I use it for, also fairly good during night rides.Of course riding to work and back home on a daily basis (total 30 mins) on 4K fills up the memory card quickly and also the device needs charging everyday but that’s not a problem. So, what I do is, at the end of every week, I eliminate all unnecessary videos to be able to continue recording throughout the next week and so on... then there’s the app, that makes it simple and easier to do so, even to download those crucial moments you do not want to loose.If you are looking for a camera to use on a daily basis while riding your bicycle or motorcycle, I recommend Osmo action because It’s easy and simple to use.I use to fiddle around with it a lot during the first couple of weeks, to get use to it, but once you have it set the way that suits you, it’s just once touch to start recording even when it is off and you are ready to go 👍I totally love it.

After moving from a GoPro Hero 7 Black due to it developing a fault, I’d say many things are better particularly having HDR. The user interface is fairly intuitive, better than GoPro. Apart from HDR, the picture quality is similar. Far superior to the cheap versions of action cams. Low light situations, the GoPro is better. Overall a good camera. A pity the stabilisation doesn’t work when set to HDR.

What can be said about the Osmo Action that's not already been covered, it really is a fantastic alternative to the GoPro.Despite being 2 years old, please don't think this should be compared to just a Hero 7 - this really does give the Hero 9 a run for its money.Responsive screen, front viewer, great image quality and stability, in most cases better "less fake" colour replication, simple to use, easy to change lenses, and loads of other options. Firmware is also still being updated and improved, so this isn't a legacy system.

I decided to buy this camera at the end of August for a planned holiday scheduled for October.Received the unit on 30th Aug 2019. Two additional batteries ( DJI ) and a three capacity charging unit arrived the following day.Within the first few days of testing, I realised there was a need for ND filters when trying to record 4K - 1/50th on bright days.So again using Amazon - bought four PGYTECH Nd filters and PGYTECH tripod / selfie stick.Cut a long story short - went to America on 9th October and the Osmo rear screen packed in on the 11th.Consequently I was unable to change any settings on the touch screen, or even see what I was trying to record.Unit powered up, front screen worked, firmware up to date - disappointing end.Contacted DJI via email ( only had wifi on holiday - and was unable to access my Amazon prime account because they needed to send me a security text to confirm my id.I have ten emails from DJI customer support ( all worded exactly the same - along the lines of factory reset and check firmware. ) Still no help from anyone since I arrived home. Total out of pocket - around £420In short, I would not recommend this product to anyone. Be warned!

This is a brilliant little camera. I have a Hero Session and a Hero 4, which I still use, but this is way better. The image stabilisation is a game changer from the gimbal I normally use mountain biking. The battery life is a lot better than the Hero 4, even shooting in 4k. The latest update has improved the screen functions and I'm told it's arguably better than the Hero 8 in terms of interface. I would definitley recommend this camera, expecially given the price.
