Great customer service
The mattress works well for my husband who is recovering from a pressure wound that got infected. It’s easy to set up. Even better was the fantastic customer service we got when we discovered there was a leak in one part of the mattress. They quickly contacted me and resolved the situation. Well worth the price. We had purchased a cheaper one with a motor and it was not the same quality. This one surpasses it in comfort.

Excellent! Totally worth the $$
I bought this mattress a few weeks ago and have been sleeping on it (on top of my "normal" mattress) since then---I do not have a medical condition that requires special treatment, but I just wanted something to increase the comfort factor of my base mattress, since I was frequently waking up with a creaky back, although my base mattress is still in good shape.I had tried eggshell foam (OK but it retained heat like crazy), thick mattress toppers (ditto, plus they flattened quickly), and a much cheaper air mattress (Drive medical), which was great while it lasted, but it didn't last long (I also have a review posted under that product). My goal was to improve mattress comfort without adding a heat sink, since I sleep hot as it is.I had hesitated over the price of the item, but the first night I slept on the Roho convinced me it was worth the $---in fact I bought a 2nd one so I could cover my entire queen bed--the material the mattress is made of seems very sturdy, and it is smartly designed with snaps all around each unit (you receive 3 smaller units that snap together) so you can configure the connections in multiple ways. I was going to wait to review until I'd used it for at least 1+ months so I could comment on durability, but I'm impressed enough to submit a review now. One small temporary con--the mattress sections do have that plastic-y smell to them, but I just put them out in my backyard over the weekend and that pretty much took care of it. I didn't notice any lingering plastic smell after I put it on my bed.I've read in the other reviews that this mattress has been life-changing in many instances for people suffering from various medical conditions--which is great---but I also want to add that if you're just looking for increased comfort, it is an excellent investment!Update: as of July 2015, I have slept on the air mattress for 6 months and still do not have any leaks. There's some normal slow air loss (as you would expect for any air-filled item), but if I refill it about once a month it's fine. I strongly recommend this if you're in the market for an added-comfort-without-added-heat mattress topper!

Junk mattress
Junk!!!! Firsts hand pump. 2 would not hold air! Nozzles would not close, air leaked. Not worth the money. Sent back!

Fantastic but hot
I was waking up stiff and in back and hip pain every morning from my $1,200 mattress because the mattress lost its back support in less than a year of ownership. I hate memory foam, so I decided to try this. I don't wake up in significant pain anymore. One thing I love about it is that there are spaces between the air pillows, so if I get my legs in the right place, it feels like they are softly being cradled. It's a very cool feeling. I was imagining it like an air mattress, but it's a little different; the air pillows inflate and deflate as you move on them, kind of pneumatically if that makes any sense. The only problem I'm having with it [and unfortunately it's a doozie] is that I keep waking up hot. I'm still giving it 5 stars because it is so great at getting rid of the pain. I'm going to try a bamboo cover for it and just PRAY that helps, because if it doesn't honestly I think I'm going to start despairing because I don't know what to try next and this bed problem is becoming expensive.Initially, I have had it wrapped in high quality cotton sheets, and it's still too hot. If I can't solve this, it's gotta go because I'm so sleep deprived I'm starting to feel ill.If I can solve the heat problem, I will buy another one for the second half of my king bed.

My doctor suggested it, medical supplier had atrocious price, got a great deal here
I recently had a problem with some early-stage pressure sores and the treating doctor suggested that I get a mattress overlay. He mentioned this brand, and I was ready to buy it, as I have been very satisfied with other products from Roho. I was connected to a local medical supplier and was ordered and atrocious price ($515) that the insurance would not cover, and was offered instead a gel-filled mattress overlay. I have had bad luck with gel-filled wheelchair cushions, and immediately dismissed that idea. I looked online, and was very happy to find this Roho at a much more reasonable price. While the insurance would not cover it, the total price was only slightly more than three times the deductible I would've paid for the gel-filled overlay that I did not want.Anyway, the bottom line is this is an air-filled mattress overlay composed of interconnected square balloons that allows the air to shift around and therefore equalize the pressure in different parts of your body. It is been part of a concerted and compound effort to head off pressure sores that has been, to this point, mostly successful. Definite gains been made and I believe progress and continue. I recommend the product.Update: Three years after the purchase, the mattress overlay is working well, but the material in heavy use areas (under my head, buttocks, feet) is getting stiff and I've had one leak result.
