Great for the embroiderer or crossstitcher
This is a great little gadget, just tuck it uner your leg and you can stitch on any seat. I use mine with a floor standing daylight magnifier when at home but its easy to take with you anywhere. Only downside is it only comes with one size hoop

It does what I wanted it for
Described as table or floor stand, only table

Useful for smaller cross stitch projects
Simple to assemble and worked well on table top and won lowest height as a laptop stand. Smooth ring around fabric. Hope wooden screw threads stand up to prolonged use.

The screw cap which is meant to hold the hoop to the frame keeps coming loose.

Nope... not a happy purchase
I have really tried to like this stand but it's ultimately a 'No Thank You' from me.Aside from the fact that you are limited to the frame provided and unable to use different hoops, it's just so poorly designed. The hoop arm tension keeps working lose and falling out of its socket which is incredibly frustrating. It also wobbles in the socket due to poor fit.The tension for the weight adjuster does the same and rotates as well.I would recommend spending a little more and getting a version that allows multiple size and shape use; which is exactly what I'm about to do.
