This is THE mouse for MMOs and general gaming
You know how every market has that one brand or model that just does what it's supposed to do, forever, and has never been changed or updated because it never needed it, and is affordable enough that almost everyone just has one? Like a cast iron Lodge skillet? That's what this mouse is, for MMO gaming mice.I've owned two of these mice over a period of 10 years. The first one stopped working after 8 years of its cable dragging back and forth against the edge of my desk, it finally wore through and the wiring gave out. I used it every single day for that entire 8 year period. Most days for many, many hours (10+ hours easily). I played MMOs daily, hardcore progression and log raiding, PVPing, to completion on many characters in many different games and then doing it over again with alt characters afterwards. This mouse has spent more time spamming clicks on crafting macros in FFXIV alone than most people will spend playing all their games combined for their entire lives. And yet, the only thing that stopped it was my laziness and poor cable management.Believe me when I say this mouse will last forever if you take care of it.That's not all, though. This mouse will do anything you want it to on top of that. You can program half of a full size keyboard onto the buttons on this mouse alone. All placed in a very intuitive and tactile layout that lets you know what you're about to press without even thinking about it. It's perfect for what it was made for, MMOs. You could put your entire hotbars and rotation on this thing if you really wanted to.It has a huge range of DPI settings that you can adjust on the fly while playing a game, you can have multiple DPI profiles within the same game if you'd like. I've used it in some FPS games to fine-tune my DPI between different types of guns, for example.Ergonomically, it has heft but is also comfortable. For me personally holding this mouse feels very natural. My fingers land right where they need to be from simply putting my hand on the mouse. I have hands that are what I would consider average-slightly larger than average, but even if I had much larger or small hands I do not think I'd have much difficulty with it due to how the mouse is shaped with a slope from front to back.Unfortunately, it does not come in a left-handed configuration that I am aware of, so that is the one point off for ergonomics I can give it.I don't know what else to really say about it, though. Buy this mouse. There's a very high chance you'll never want a different one ever again.

Not just a (MMO) gaming mouse!!! I use this for AutoCAD as well as games. GREAT PRODUCT!!!! Did buy again!!!
Excellent mouse! I became such a fan of this product I bought a second one to use at work. At home I use it for gaming. At work I use it in AutoCAD for steel detailing. I got this mouse when I was still in college and used it back then with CAD, Revit, Inventor, Sketchup and Softplan. It is quite handy to have all those buttons right at your thumb. You can preset the buttons the way you like it per program you use. I am a BIG fan of keystrokes for programs like AutoCAD and putting the ones I use regularly on this mouse is fantastic.I'm in the process of getting other people at work to pick these up. I was able to get my last one for roughly $40, my first one was $60 so wait for a sale if you wanna pick it up. I have two black ones. I couldn't muster up enough guts to get a white one as I figure it would get dirty.Besides the super handy 12 thumb buttons there is a ring finger button on the far right which is the "G-shift". I haven't really done much with it so far so I have nothing much to say about it. The only thing I could say is that is really fits my hand well and the 3rd button feels nice like a resting spot for my ring finger. I will eventually find a way to use it. For now I am content. The body itself feels super durable and heavy, but it doesn't feel weighted down. "Grounded" is the best way I can describe it. It has two nice big friction-less pads on the bottom and glides along effortlessly. The cord is really long and braided and you get the feeling that someone really thought this mouse out thoroughly. It is not one of those spaceship looking wireless buttons everywhere gaming mouses. It is simple and very usable. The only problem I do have is the software that you download from Logitech to program it can be a little bit wonky sometimes. I would be working all night using the buttons to draft and suddenly the buttons become un-mapped. Easily fixed, I would just open the program and re-select the preset I was using and it would be back to normal. Another negative, the program doesn't have a minimize button, only a close button. So you cant have it open and minimized while using it. It's just odd, that's all.So... all in all I would give this mouse a very sturdy 9.5/10. It would have been perfect had the program not been so weird sometimes.I hope this helps you decide between one of those goofy looking "gaming" mouses that cost nearly $150 and this wonderful piece of hardware.
