Using it to cool spindle on CNC router.
I bought this to replace a very cheap Chinese pump ($26.00 on the Ali website) on the water cooled spindle on my small CNC. I could either replace it with another pump for around $30 (and wait 3 weeks) or spend $100 on an EKWB pump (1 day delivery). So far it seems to be moving 2-3 times more fluid than the cheaper pump. But then again, because I don't have any way to adjust speed, it's running at 100%. I'm definitely using it outside of its intended environment, so only time will tell if it will last. If I have any issues, this is where I will report them.

Awesome unit!
I previously used the EK SPC-60 pump/res but when mine finally went out after a few years of continuous use, I saw it was now discontinued. The only other review for this pump didn't look good but I gave it a shot. It's great! Quiet, adjustable PWM input, and rgb. I don't have it connected since it was a bit too bright for my case but super happy with quality and performance. Give it a try, I like it more than the Photon X4 pump/res.

This is the worst DDC pump designed.
Don't get me wrong here the res and RGB pump top are why I got this product. That being said the first thing I noticed was the sound (NOT quiet). I decided to open it up. Not your standard ddc. The cup that should hold the impeller had an uneven surface from where it looked like the injection mold was injecting the PLASTIC (Yes plastic). After more review of the motor I found that the EM coils were not tightly wrapped and kinda lose in the case. These two thing are Im guessing the cause of the noise.I would have only given this one star but like I said the res and RGB pump top are made to the standards I have come to expect from EK. For the price you are better off getting a different pump/res combo or do what Im now having to do and buying Laing DDC-1T Plus PWM Pump, the heatsink and in your case a pump top and reservoir. One thing to note here is as of this review I have not found a pump top that you can screw a reservoir into, so there is that to be said. That is still not worth the price.

If you want EK then buy the $200 one
Not recommend, can't even push 1.2 Meter setup

Good pump+res combo, repurposed it for my EK fluid gaming kit.
Since it a DDC pump it good on small system. Anything bigger, then I would recommend a D5 pump. This is compatible with any material even EK Aluminum lineup. (Just make sure you change the Brass plug on the top with a Acetal plug.)As for proof I have this pump+res combo installed on my EK gaming fluid kit. (Picture included)Cons: RGB strip are very flimsy and can break if small force is applied, that lead me to go through an RMA process to receive another RGB strip to replace it, please treat the RGB strip with care it's the only con of this DDC pump.Overall it's flow rate is decent for starter build or as backup pump. 4/5 it's your classic DDC pump design from EK, but with RGB that sucks and break very easily if you pull it the wrong way.

Buyer beware. Garbage pump
First of all the res/pump combo looks really nice and it's EK which usually means quality, but that is not the case for this pump. The pump started making a rattling/grinding noise within the first week of use that has gotten progressively worse over time. it's still working after a few months, but I'm replacing it for fear that it's going to die and cost me a lot more than a pump. I've had a D5 in another system that has ran flawlessly for over 8 years so I'm going with that...

Impressed
I upgraded to this from a Liquid.Cool pump/res combo which was noisey as hell. This one however is fully PWM adjustable from 0 to 2.7k rpm by my motherboards readouts and still remains very quiet. RBG is a nice inclusion and lights up well with clear coolant. Overall i'm impressed with what I believe is EK's cheapest Pump/Res.
