Outstanding product!
This is a truly great innovation for hand percussionists. While the claim that it eliminates "ghost" sounds isn't 100% accurate, it is easily the best way to incorporate additional sounds for a hand percussionist. The ghost sounds are not very pronounced - you'd have to develop your own technique to use it in a studio situation, but when you're live, this thing rocks!Overall, great sound, great idea, well designed and above all it's a fun addition to a percussionists arsenal. Offers tremendous potential for finger-style percussionists and works great when attached to your sticks/mallets/brushes!

Good product. Nice sound. Easy to use
The media could not be loaded. Works as a good accompaniment when Drumming, and it gives more depth to the sound

Finger size, not hand sized.
Very small. I should have read details. I still use it though. Works as should. Quiet due to size but still audible while drumming on cahone.

Great addition for cajon/guitar players!
This item is great for having a quick snappy snare sound. Keep in mind this is not really intended for maraca type use because of the shape, but works best when it’s “snapped” like a firm tap of the finger on your knee or instrument. I use it to add some more high end to my cajon (usually on the middle finger for the snare taps) and it works perfectly.

I would not play my cajon without them!
I can't imagine playing my cajon live without these things on. I always keep a spare pair in my case. After a gig, someone came and said "You sounded like two people", and that is exactly the effect. Practice a little bit, and the possibilities are endless. And they totally cut through the mix.Just have in mind, these are NOT shakers, they are called shots because they only produce sound on one side when you shake them, so you can create a hi hat effect, in different forms depending on how you play them. They are comfortable, and they last about 20 three hour gigs. (More than a pair of drumsticks). I am on my third pair. They are truly amazing, there is not one gig that I don't get questions or compliments on them.

Perfect accent
If you play hand drums, this is a perfect addition to your kit. They are not overly loud but cut through the mix nicely. The mic on the drum head will pick it up just fine too.A friend showed these to me first. I've bought a couple kinds of hand drum shakers and this is the only one that doesn't overplay while you are playing your groove. It is nice to have other shakers for when you want more but for a "free something extra" just slide this on your fingers and play as usual.

it can't be held in your hand and shaken like an egg shaker
it is important to note that this thing is exactly what they say it is. it only produces sufficient sound if placed on your finger while your hand is in conga striking type position. it can't be held in your hand and shaken like an egg shaker. it adds a great little sound to your drum strike though. great build too. aluminum give it a great tinny treble sound.
