Going through my old purchases, this was the very first thing I bought on Amazon. I definitely recommend picking it up if you're a fan of The Far Side. has some interesting tidbits in there, and it's different stuff than the complete collection (which I also have). So pick this up and have some fun. it's a short read.

Anything by Gary Larson is great! This collection is a terrific way to put a smile on your face!

This book is a real treasure for fans of the Far Side. It contains some previously unpublished work, plus notes from Gary Larson about how he performed his job. I tried to savor each page, since it seemed like a farewell. As usual, there were a handful I just didn't get, even when I went back to them. But that was always true for me anyway. The point is that I just loved his take on the world, with cattle and insects living the same type of lives human beings do. We are a silly bunch.

Reading this book is like reliving the final days of the newspaper run. Only a few pages in and the old ache returns. I am reminded just how keenly I miss reading this strip on a daily basis. While I won't be able to see new strips in the papers again I can at least enjoy one of the few collections that passed me buy during the original run.

Somehow I missed this book when it first came out. I'm so glad I found it, except that it reminded me how much I miss my daily dose of The Far Side! Classic Gary Larson humor. One of my favorite books, but I would have liked it to be another couple of dozen pages longer.

We had most of Larson’s books back in the day, but not this last one. So glad I ordered this, laughed out loud and it made my day. I wish he were still putting out these weird cartoons.

The book is in a good condition and I am delighted to have been able to source it, as it completes my collection of Gary Larson.
