For years I've tinkered around on DIY indoor lever set installs. From schlage to kwikset to off brand models. I've attempted to achieve a high end look, but at the end of the day, it always ends up being a bit subpar. Small details like spring noise, jank, tolerances, fit & finish, softness and marring of included screw heads etc.With this kit, as soon as you pick it up you know it's likely going to be a quality set. I didn't mind the slightly added install complexity, and was impressed at the quality of each piece fitting together. The weight alone is a given sign of quality. Knobs are very smooth and you can lock the doors without a big loud "kerchunk!" which is awesome. With a very mild swing, the door latches itself. Nice.

I am updating all doorknob hardware in my 60+ year old house, and I wanted a quality name brand and a classic look. I am renovating my house a little at a time and I wanted to pick interior doorknobs that I could buy a few at a time and know I could always find more later. I started several years ago and am still purchasing Baldwin's Prestige Carnaby knobs as I go! I find these doorknobs to be the best classic - yet modern - stylish look at a great value!I am not at all handy, but these are very easy to install. You can do this in under 5 minutes - they are that easy! I love the ease of avoiding trips to the big box hardware store, and having these delivered right to me with Prime and knowing they are exactly what I need. Plus, the big box stores' prices are way higher -- I've checked several times!

This knob is beautiful and well crafted. It feels solid and looks great. The bought this and the deadbolt as a pair and planned to use the smartkey system to only need 1 key instead of 2. Unfortunately when attempting to set the smartkey it malfunctioned and then no key would work on it. I called Baldwin and they told me to bring it to Home Depot for a cradle reset. I took the entire deadbolt off, which was easy to do but left an opening, and brought it to home depot where they told me they couldn't do a reset. I called Baldwin back and they said they would overnight me the cylinder. I have received the cylinder and have yet to dismantle the entire lock to install the new cylinder. Truthfully I am a bit afraid the thing is going to come apart and I will have no deadbolt. I wish they had sent me an entire new deadbolt unit. I will attempt to install the new cylinder and pair the smartkey. Hopefully this works! I will update the review after install.

I have owned two of these entry knobs. Due to user error, the first only lasted about six months. I locked myself out, and the locksmith ended up destroying the lock to regain entry. Surprisingly, I could still lock the door from the inside just fine even though I could no longer use a key. I cannot speak to that locksmiths skills because I had not needed one to enter a home before and me and a neighbor found his number at random, but I am now more confident that someone in a hurry to break in through the door might give up on this lock after we watched him try to pry the door open, slip a credit card-like device between the door and pick the lock with no success. So I replaced that entry knob with one of the same. Since I wanted to replace the entry knob right away, I went to a nearby hardware store where it cost me $15 more than it would have through Amazon.Other things I like about it are ease of installation and how smoothly the lock works. I can't jiggle the knob up and down, and I don't need to jiggle the key to get the lock to work. It feels well-built. It has a nice-looking, smooth finish that also feels good in the hand to me. The only complaint I have with the finish is that with both sets one of the knobs had a noticeable scratch on the face. Not bad enough for me to send either of them back. Still, I don't think they are easy to scratch with normal use; up until the first set was destroyed it still looked like new. I have called Baldwin in the past about harder to find hardware and their customer service staff seemed very willing to help, so I wouldn't hesitate to call them if the scratches had been a problem.

I bought three knobs for my home and had a professional locksmith come out to install. As it turns out I only needed two knobs, which was fortunate because all three boxes had faulty parts. Luckily the locksmith was able to mix and match parts from the three boxes to get the two I needed installed and I didn’t have to pay him to come back out later. However it took a professional 3 hours to install these due to the faulty parts. Amazon was kind enough to refund me for the third knob, however it needs to be known that all 3 knobs I was sent were faulty.

The entry knob is extremely heavy and well made. It's very nice looking. We installed a new entry door which had a Schlage entry knob and deadbolt. This lock set weighs twice as much and is very solid. But, while installing the knob, we realized that the bolts that secure the lockset were missing from the package. Rather than return the knob to Amazon, I called Baldwin customer service The CS representative pulled the required bolts and packaged them for us before the end of the phone call. You can't get better customer service than that!***UPDATE***The bolts came in 2 days. The knob and matching deadbolt look perfect on my new door with oval glass, and it fits the era of my 1920 house. More importantly, the hardware is very, very high quality. I easily rekeyed the knob so that we could use the same key with the entry knob and deadbolt.

nice looking, very sturdy, heavy knob but easy to operate. Everything fits very well, except the set screw that is needed to tighten the handle. It is a pain to get into the threading. If you force the insertion incorrectly, thread gets damaged. Other than this, it is a pretty nice one.

Replaced all the door knobs in my house with this series. Love them. VERY classy and expensive looking, solid construction, easy to install. Haven't installed any on exterior doors so can't comment there but they are perfect for interior doors. And they were much cheaper than similar door knobs that we priced at other places.
