Excellent level - good price

I chose this level instead of a David White and i regret it.When it arrived i did not like the quality of the carrying case, but i rationalized it that it was probably good enough and the level itself was probably very good.Upon initial inspection of the instrument i noticed some of the adjustment screws were marred and looked of poor quality, i was very tempted to send it back but i needed it immediately so i decided to keep it and hope for the best.Well., it worked fine for a couple of months until the focus adjustment stopped working, something came loose , i think there is a set screw that regulates the travel of the focus mechanism that is stripped or something.Fortunately at that point i was ready for interior work so i used line lasers for that and this thing went into a job box for a long time.Just now , at the end of the year, with work slowing down a little i am trying to navigate spectra's customer service nightmare , they don't have a direct line or contact with the company, you have to go through their dealers and their dealers don't want to deal with you unless you bought the thing from them , so at this point i might try one more time and if i am not successful i will probably throw it away.Lesson learned, if it doesn't look good , send it back!
