Big Air 96" Industrial Indoor/Outdoor Ceiling Fan, 6 Speed with Remote, Oil-Rubbed Bronze

The fan was installed long after the return period because it took a long time to complete a remodel. The fan did not work and after some evaluation it was determined to have a bad motor. I contacted the manufacturer and they sent a new motor. Everything works perfectly and although it would have been great to work out of the box, the manufacturer stood behind their product. Great service!

Much more air movement than the smaller fan that it replaced. Centered on a large outdoor porch it moves a lot of air. I would have liked it a lot better if Amazon had dropped the price a day earlier. Dropped it almost $100 two days after I ordered it.

Liked: Installation instructions were well written and documented. Unit arrived intact and undamaged. This unit was installed in a covered, outdoor patio area so it was never exposed directly to the elements. Fan operation was quiet and the fan operation was good. Fan moved a good amount of airDisliked: Fan is now *dead* after only 2 years. Fan is only used intermittently during summer months and this is only in the evening for a couple of hours and a few days a week. Checking the internet finds a replacement motor costs *only* $450+. Completely unacceptable life expectancy for a unit that is used less than 30 hours/year! We have house fans that are far cheaper and run for hours each day, every day and are still going strong after 7 years. This was an expensive fan and I am severely displeased with this purchased, I expected a much longer lifeOverall: Very pleased with this purchase

Firstly, the fan is awesome. It puts out plenty of air. We have vaulted ceilings that are 22’. We wanted a 4’ down rod. No big deal, right? Wrong. This fan requires a 1/2” down rod, which is not a standard size you will find at a local big box hardware store. In the box with the fan was a flyer to order a down rod. However, that company no longer manufactures them. The very few 1/2” down rods we found of Amazon were pricey and did not come in bronze. Our fan is bronze. So, I bought a 1/2” galvanized pipe, cut the threads off, drilled the appropriate holes required for assembly, spray painted it bronze, and made my own 4’ down rod. The fan is 5 stars, the inability to find a down rod is the reason for the 4 stars.

My fan is used on outdoor porch. It has only been installed for a month but so far I love it. It is quiet and seems to be balanced well with no wobble
