Easy to use and very sturdy.
Works well and arrived a few moments before I needed to use it...timed just perfectly (of course that was just good luck). Its light and very sturdy. The hook size was perfect for the spring strength I had to pull into position. I also ordered another puller that was really too small for this particular job.

Nice tool
I only used this once and it worked great. I read about some breaking but I had to pull pretty hard and it was fine. It seems like it’s strong.

Good tool for drum springs
This tool made installing drum springs so much easier. I was surprised how much easier this tool was compared to the last time did it while fumbling with screwdrivers and pliers.

Seems like it'll work
I just got this and while I'm not in immediate need to use it I know that this will come in handy. I just hope it is stout enough to stand up to the job I bought it for which is brake drum springs on light duty vehicles. It looks small in it's entire construction but this may be ideal as long as the steel is strong enough so the hook wont break of when pulling with tension on it.

Never use vise grips on your brake springs again!
Takes a lot of the frustration, bleeding, and swearing out of working on drum brakes. Those little retraction springs are STRONG and they can be evil when trying to hook them back up. And there's always the fun of trying to find one that's shot across the garage after it pops off the pliers/screwdriver/bent coat hanger you were trying to use. With this simple tool, that's all in the past. Attach one end, pull the other with this hook, and drop it right straight onto pin/into hole and you're done.

This tool is exactly what I wanted
This tool is exactly what you need to do rear drum brakes on most cars. I have a Honda civic and I was looking for a tool like this to pull the top spring that connects the two shoes on each drum brake setup. This tool is bent at the perfect angle to hook the spring and allow you to pull it out of its groove. I am so happy with this tool.If I had to be really picky and critical, I would say that the weld at the top of the tool that holds the T hanlde to the shaft isnt done as well as I would like to see, but I am sure it will hold up fine being that I am only pulling a spring and will likely do so only about 8 or 9 times in the next 10 years. So, it should be fine, but I am just being picky I supposeI totally recommend this if you have Honda or Toyota type drum brake springs.

Did the job!
I used it on my snowmobile (Skidoo 850) exhaust pipe springs. I thought it was a little short at first but did the job and is a good size to take in my tool kit.
