Great read!
What a great read! As a native new yorker, i feel that Anne Born really captures the oddities and eccentricities of the daily commute with great humor and wit. Definitely recommend for any new yorkers or daily commuters anywhere...I'm sure that you will find some similarities between your experiences and Ms. Born's.

Anne Born is a talented observer--funny, wise, insightful and never less than charming. Her first collection of short stories is a paean to the art of storytelling. Each little nugget (most of these tales are less than 1000 words) is a slice of life--New York City life as told through the eyes of a long-time commuter. The MTA (New York's Metropolitan Transit Authority) has wisely recognized the value of her contribution to what I'll call "commuter literature" and carries her book in its museum library. After your read this, you too will have a new appreciation for life in the slow but steady lane. You may even get out of your car and onto the bus.

Hats off to you Miss Born.
You know the saying... "life is like a box of chocolates, you never know what you're going to get.". The same is true riding the NY bus system. This wonderful book is an amazing collection of what makes New York City and the NYC bus system great. Filled with terrific little stories and musings, I found myself drifting away to similar experiences I've had. Hats off to you Miss Born.
