Great product, taste great and is very healthy for you

Health 'experts' warn of consuming too much Saigon cinnamon which led us to give the Sri Lankan cinnamon a try. Looks like what we're used to. Tastes different. Lighter, flowery maybe, hard to describe but I do enjoy it as much as ever on the morning bowl of Bob's Red Mill Steel Cut Oats. Tastes good, good for you they say. Inexpensive when purchased in this quantity. Perhaps this is an acquired taste but so far, I'm all for it. Buy a pound and give it a whirl.....

Honestly, I don’t know what the taste is because it doesn’t taste like cinnamon. I just opened it a couple of minutes ago and not only is there not a cinnamon smell to it, the taste is really not very “cinnamony” either. I’m buying this exclusively for health reasons - not to bake with. I previously bought Anthony’s Ceylon Cinnamon, and it has the classic cinnamon smell and taste. Based on the smell and taste, I just can’t give this five stars. I feel giving it four stars is a bit generous 🤷‍♀️

I bought this product to put in my coffee. I used this product for 2-3 months and loved it! I feel like a fool for not reading the WARNING on the back of the bag though. I started having small vision changes in one eye (probably completely unrelated to this product) I was sent to a specialist who had my blood tested for EVERYTHING! I think it was 16 different tests she ordered. I was completely shocked when the heavy metals test came back positive for lead. My husband was tested to see if he had any exposure and his lead level was at a zero. They asked if I was taking any supplements and I said no bc I never thought of cinnamon as a supplement. We couldn't think of anything or anywhere I would've been exposed to lead until I read the WARNING on the back of this bag. It says it may contain lead. I hope this review helps someone who reads it. It's been 6 months and I just had my blood redrawn a few days ago. My lead level is now within normal range, but still not at a zero yet. It may have been a small exposure, but no level of lead in your blood is considered safe technically. Please read the back of the bag and see the WARNING I failed to read.
