VERY HELPFUL & INSPIRING
This is a very helpful book! After attending an event at University of Southern California, I got to hear a presentation from the author. I was very inspired. Then, I decided to purchase the book and to read some more details. I felt very encouraging after reading the book. And I believe that if I can follow the steps in the book, I will be able to land a job and also become more successful! Networking is the key of success. " It is not about what you know, it is about who you know." Also, Dan is a very helpful author. After reading his book, I had some questions. I emailed him about those questions, and he reply me very soon with very detailed answers. I am very happy with this purchase!

I bought this book because the author came to our school and gave us a speech about how to find a US job as an international student. I couldn't make it so I bought the book instead and I think it's very helpful. It explains a lot of common misunderstandings that international students have about finding a job in the US. I recently got a job through the exact same method explained in the book. It makes sense a lot so I strongly recommend it to any international student who is struggling sending resumes around and never receive a reply.

Really insightful and eye opening
It's time to take action. It is true that other people will provide you with a job rather than computers and online applications. Will post an update when I get my job!

Best book for job seekers
The author articulated the hiring the process and stressed the importance of building power ties. Primarily, power ties is not about building a network for job opportunities, it's about building a network to learn and grow further in the field that's interest you.Job is one of the return of investments of power ties not only returns.
