This is important to know because the product info incorrectly says “Batteries ‏ : ‎ 4 AAA batteries required. (included)”.I’ll try to update this review once I dig up the right batteries.

Machine worked well, but it has accompanying audio that provides the BP & pulse readout that cannot be turned off or volume adjusted (and is not mentioned in the product description). It was extremely loud and annoying, so we returned the unit. If it weren't for that, we'd have been happy with it!

I use on my bare arm with my arm propped on the arm of an easy chair. Yes, it does have a voice synthesizer that tells you your blood pressure reading and pulse. It's slightly annoying, but I live alone, so it's not a problem of some else knowing my reading. If you have visual problems it could be a bonus.

I had purchased one before from Maxiaids and it talked on what to do, like "Please relax and don't move, we will start to measure now". Also " Please press the user one or user two button to record the readings. This model does not say anything and they are both the same model - 1133 but from a different lot. It also spoke and told you the average readings when you pressed the control button.So I guess I am stuck with this as I don't feel like going thru the hassle of returning an inferior model/grade..So what happened between the models? Do the manufacturer delete the features?

WE LIKE THAT IT'S SMALL SO WE CAN KEEP IT ON OUR KITCHEN COUNTER TO KEEP AWARE OF THE TEMPERATURE.

It came well packed for protection. As far as I know so far it gives me an acurate reading. It is smaller than my other one but I am pleased with it.
