The small tube of recap it, works great!
A lot of people complained about the amount in the tube. The tube is very difficult to get the "cement" out of, but you truly only need a tiny drop, like you would with super glue. It definitely had at least 6 applications. You only need the tiniest drop, and spread it thin. I used a large sewing needle to apply it to the broken cap, and it held well for 3-4 days per application. It took 2cweeks before my permanent caps to be ready. If used properly, it works great. The instructions and tube design are lacking, but the product worked great!

good for different uses
i used the Re-cap-it and the Dentemp, both for loose crowns. The Re-cap-it was easier to use and it worked fine for a crown that had a tight fit and plenty of build-up to hold on to. Easy to squeeze it into the cleaned out crown, then any excess squeezed out when I seated the crown and clenched onto a cotton pad. Then I cleaned off the excess at the base of the crown.I used it for two crowns, one of them stayed on for months, the other came off in a few days, as there was not a very good build up to get good adhesion. So I went to the Dentemp, which is much thicker and harder to apply. It will not squeeze out, it is too thick. So you have to measure pretty carefully how much you put in, and where you put it inside the crown. You can get an idea from where you had to clean off the old cement. You can tell pretty quickly if you have too much since you cannot seat the crown down far enough even after clenching your teeth together on the cotton. So it took me a couple of tries to get a good amount inside the crown, and once I had found the perfect amount, the crown stayed on for months. I put the lid on the jar carefully so it didn't dry out, and I have been able to use it a second time. One thing I would suggest for either cement is to do it right before you go to bed so you will not eat anything for some hours, to allow it to set properly. That is, unless you grind your teeth, which wouldn't be good for it.I did have a hard time cleaning the Dentemp out when I had to glue it the second time. I thought it would be easier to chip it out when it was dry, but it turned out that getting it wet made it much easier to scrape it out using a metal tool Also you are supposed to have a wet crown to put it in, and i followed that direction, too.One of the crowns I used it on fell off within about a year after my dentist cemented it in. I won't say it was not partially my fault since I have a tendency to crack hard candies against that tooth. It was a lot of trouble and cost a lot to get it re-cemented at the dentist. This option is much easier, and takes less than a half hour. The only worry I have is that, if I don't notice quickly enough that is has come off while I am chewing something, I may either swallow it by accident or I chew on it really hard and damage it.Both crowns are full porcelain (or whatever material they use now that is white). No metal at all.If the Demtemp continues to last for months at a time I will keep using it and will be happy buying it again if the one I have gets used up or dries out.I did not use the filling repair product so can't comment on that one.

Do not waste your money
I bought this as a quick temporary fix for my son because he had a wedding to be in and could not get a front tooth filled before the event. Well, it was a total flop! I have worked in the dental field over 17 years and I am telling you, do NOT waste your time or money. This is awful, will not stick to anything no matter what I tried. Worthless!

Works But Very Temporary
Not durable. There are better options.

Works 2 weeks , life saver
Life saver , mom was stuck here cause of Corona 19 virus Her crown came off and dentist told her he can’t glue the crown on tooth with cavity but the prostrate tooth was $3.500 , it’s much cheaper in Ukraine . She was crying and begging doc to glue it on , I told her don’t worry I will do it and Amazon has everything, I was right ! I’m not a licensed dentist , it held 2 weeks than fell off , I glue it again , another 2 weeks , she just said she has 3 more days before going to the dentist and fell off again, she will glue it herself. Works on short term !

Lasts up to 2 weeks for me
I use the red “refillit” I have a large cavity in a molar where a filling fell out and this works perfect. It comes out roughly every other week. Like I said this is a rather large hole and it’s between two teeth. I still brush twice a day, I just don’t floss between those two unless there’s something else stuck. It does the job and keeps food out. I roll it up in a little ball and smoosh it on the whole tooth and what doesn’t fill the whole when I bit down comes off. The scooper is great for scooping the product out of the jar.
