Great combination of features and value
I usually don’t write reviews, but since I went through some extra effort here to trial 4 brands at the same time, so I hope this is helpful information. Background: I wanted to find a good monocular that I can easily throw in my fanny pack or in my pocket in case I need it … mainly for hiking, site-seeing, etc. This is a good time to establish the value of a monocular: It is strictly for go-anywhere compactness – the viewing image will never be as good as a pair of good binoculars (my compact Nikon 7x20 binocs are superior to any monocular I’ve tried). Onto my testing …I tried four different models – at different specs and price points (listed):Vortex Solo ($ 67.00, 10x25): Hi quality construction and grip BUT larger & heavier than most (wouldn’t want it in my pocket). Good optics quality BUT the eyepiece created interference with viewing and adjustment was very stiff.Carson Monozoom ($ 29.99, 7-21x21): Design was funky and the dual controls (separate for magnification (from 7 to 21) and focus made it difficult to use. Optics were just so-so … high magnification was too blurry, low mag was OK.Roxant Viper ($24.99, 10x25): Good quality, compact design (small/light enough to go in your pocket), and the easiest to use. Optics were surprisingly good and the adjustment was the easiest to use.Leonuoraso ($12.79, 10x22): OK quality and easy to hold and use – these were the smallest and lightest of the four. Optics were OK, with a bit lower light coming thru the smaller (x22) aperture.Decision: The Roxant Viper was a stand-out value, providing a good quality compact monocular that hit the right features and compromises – it will be my go-anywhere optics. Due to the super-low price, I also kept the Leonuoraso as a dedicated accessory for my RV (I recently went to Yellowstone and FORGOT to bring any optics – that won’t happen again . I wanted to like the Vortex Solo, but the size and eyepiece awkwardness made it easy to eliminate. The Carson was just too gimmicky and clunky to operate.

Simple Quaility Monocular
I have been on the hunt for another small scope like the Viper. No luck, all are 2 to 4 times larger. What I like about the Viper first is the size, then the range and magnification and always viewing quality.I mostly use the scope for my business, I am in the sign industry. Many signs go in high and hard to access locations. The scope allows me to see up close the actual location conditions, from anywhere I can see the location. And we need signs to be seen, right? The size being important because I’m in a safety vest with a handful of other tools and devises needed for the job. All needing to be light and compact. The 10x25 is great for my needs and the size is perfect, quality exceeds my requirements. So now this scope will live in my daily bag of import devises for my work. I won’t leave the office without it.

Great Value for an Amazing Compact Scope
I am very happy that I found this optic! The clarity of the image and level of magnification are very impressive for such a small optic. I have several larger, heavier and more expensive optics that provide the same quality image! I like to keep a zoom optic handy at all times, and this is perfect for keeping in my truck and taking along when I hike. The Viper is incredibly small and light, yet still manages to feel very solid and durable. I love the feel of the molded case that provides a good grip, and it included a handy lanyard so I can hang it from my wrist when walking about and a carrying case for attaching it to a belt. As if that wasn't good enough for the price, I reached out to Roxant with comments about the product and got a great answer right away. Quality product, fair price, and excellent service: You can't ask for better than that! Roxant has made a fan out of me, I'll definitely be looking at their other products for my next optic purchase!

Useless junk
Uselessly bad.So unclear as to be useless. The lenses were not aligned and it gave the effect of being very drunk. They were so bad it gave an oval picture instead of a circle. Could not focus because it was all misaligned.

Light and packable
Purchased this for trip to Costa Rico. I did not want to carry binoculars so was advised to purchase mono scope. The product was as described and arrived the day after orders. Sleek design, lightweight. Comes in a nice compact case with a lens cloth. What I liked most about his product was it was so light and I was able to carry in a side pocket for quick access in my day pack. It took up no space and fits easily in the palm of my hand. My only criticism is that that strap that is connected to the scope fell off almost immediately and I was not able to reconnect. Not a big deal. The view from the scope was just OK. Not great but for this price, was acceptable. A product like this does not replace the view of a good binocular, but for light travel, it was good.
