Great, multipurpose desk!
I was initially very hesitant to purchase this desk as there weren't any reviews at the time. However, after looking at the reviews of another desk by this company I figured I would give it a shot. I am so glad I did. I expected a lot out of this desk and it has fulfilled my needs and more.My needs might be unique, but I really wanted a lot out of a desk. We are a family of four in a rather small home. I needed a desk that could do it all. I wanted to be able to use it as a traditional desk and as a place I could sew/craft. It exceeded my expectations. The top of the desk is very roomy. I am able to fit a printer, desktop carousel and other desktop items easily and with ample room leftover. When I need to sew, I can easily clear it off and have more than enough space and a very sturdy area to work. Additionally, the desk surface is wipable so stray marks aren't a worry. I have 2 young children and there hasn't been a mark that I have had trouble removing which is great. The big, pull out drawer on the right side of the desk is great. I was afraid that it wouldn't fit my machine with it's cover on, but as you can see in the attached pictures, that wasn't a problem. It is extremely sturdy and has ample space. There is another little cubby above where the machine goes that actually enabled me to have a third use for this desk. I don't need that area for actual sewing/crafting supplies because I already have a seperate system in place to house all of those items. But, I found that I can fit my Orla Kiely makeup bag and an Ott-lite makeup mirror- http://www.amazon.com/dp/B004DN8F4S/ref=cm_sw_r_tw_awdl_2Qu-ub0XDX9J5 - perfectly in this area, so now I have a place to sit down and get myself ready in the morning. This was a great, unexpected surprise. Also, I should note that the top of this pull out drawer is a little area about 1.5" tall that can also house any small extras you might have.On the other side of the desk with the four drawers I am housing traditional office supplies. It should be noted that although the desk itself is about 23.5" deep, these four drawers are only 13.5" deep, seems like a lot of wasted space but it hasn't been a problem for me. The drawers are 13.5" wide, too. And I have been able to find solutions to organize each drawer which is nice. The top drawer doesn't have sides or a back, it was made to put your thread on the included dowels. However, as I mentioned, I already have another system for that so I wanted to put this drawer to use but didn't want anything to fly out of the back of this drawer if I closed it too hard. I found that if I put the last row of dowels in place I have just enough room to fit my mini laptop and my planner without fear that they will fall off since the dowels keep them from sliding. Perfect! The second drawer down I use to house additional office supplies. I purchased a square drawer organizer- http://www.amazon.com/dp/B00AN8CTX0/ref=cm_sw_r_tw_awdl_eYu-ub0AZF94A -that works great for my needs and leaves extra room on the front and sides for additional items. The third drawer I use as my mail center. I didn't want something taking up room on the top of my desk so I found these drawer dividers- http://www.amazon.com/dp/B003M8GMYU/ref=cm_sw_r_tw_awdl_K3u-ub18W02WF - that work perfectly in the space so I can have an organized place to deal with incoming and outgoing mail. The bottom drawer is where I keep all of my extra printer paper and laminating paper. It took me and my husband about 4 hours to put this desk together. The instructions leave a lot to be desired. There is very little actual text instructions, mostly just pictures, thankfully it was pretty intuitive for my husband. I am not sure I could have figured it out alone.Lastly, when contemplating ordering this desk, keep in mind that it is extremely heavy. Make sure that you or someone else is home at the time of delivery because it is very unlikely that the delivery man can get this to your door alone. It took My husband (who is a UPS man) and the FedEx man who delivered it to unload it off of the delivery truck. As you can see, this desk has suited my needs very well. I couldn't have imagined a better desk for my needs and I would recommend this desk to anyone.

Overall a Great Sewing Table
I was very excited to find this sewing table when I was reworking my room to fit my sewing machine back into my life on a daily basis. It had lots of good reviews (actually on Home Depot’s website) despite a considerable amount of complaints about it being difficult to put together. So, a few things:YES, it’s extremely heavy, but no heavier than any other piece of IKEA furniture of the same size. We did have to open the boxes and bring the pieces up to my room a few at a time. Not surprising for flat pack furniture.YES, you will probably want two people to put it together.NO, it should not take any longer than an equivalent piece of IKEA furniture. There were a few points where the instructions were a bit unclear, but that’s why you have a partner - to talk it through. Which is not to say you could not figure it out on your own.NO, the fit and finish is not as good as an equivalent IKEA piece of furniture. However, that said, it is still a very serviceable and sturdy sewing table. The surface of the table is a bit high, because the entire unit is on casters. You can’t remove them because you would not be able to use the machine storage side if you did. You may want a drafting style chair instead of a regular office chair if you are on the short side. The machine storage side that slides out is great. I was able to fit my serger and my old Bernina in it. So a big thumbs up for that. The drawers on the other side provide good storage. I did not use the spool dowels in the top drawer. Instead, I used some double sided tape to install a few small storage bins which work better for my purposes (needles, scissors, marking pens, etc.)Overall, I would recommend this unit as long as you understand that it is NOT an IKEA piece. I think it’s a bit expensive for what it is, however, it’s made in the USA, and that counts for something! It’s been a great addition to my sewing room.

Great Affordable Embroidery Desk! Love it!
I was skeptical when I bought this, we all know how expensive the big-name brands can be. This is definitely a “light” model, but it certainly gets the job done and I’m not off-roading with it. Lots of storage - I store my threads, patters, works in progress, appliqué scraps, stabilizers, and my favorite discovery on the pull-out table is that it fits my 17” laptop with room to spare AND it closes with it! When my laptop isn’t there I use it to stage my fabrics or work on layouts. I may even make a small pressing mat for my little appliqué pieces for that spot and swap the laptop out as needed. I assembled it myself with no issues. My travel thread containers fit nicely in the second drawer so I have tons of thread storage. Deep drawers allow for boxes or divider bins - I stored way more in it than I expected and now have a dedicated space for my embroidery addiction. I’m very happy with it and the quality is worth the price.

Wish I just bought a table from Ikea
So when I first bought this desk it was good enough, until I moved it. 6 of the 8 wheels snapped off while rolling it (these things gave out bearing only the weight of the desk, nothing else). Luckily the wheels gave out on the concrete in my garage and not on my flooring in the house or it would have destroyed my flooring. From the wheels buckling they actually snapped the particle board apart at the bottom so it is demolished. For what I paid I should be able to move it without the whole thing crumbling from underneath. I called the company and I have to completely dismantle the desk and give them a list of everything that needs to be replaced. If it was one or two things yes but both sides are ruined so they will have to part out practicality a new desk. Just irritated this thing fell apart under its own weight. Also all the drawers stick or don't roll out at all so I could never give this desk 5 stars. I would recommend going with another sewing table considering the price you could get something better that won't give you problems.
