FreeTec9pc Blind Inner Internal Bearing Puller Slide Hammer Set 8-32 mm

I have been renovating a 1980s racing bike. After spending a lot of money, the reassembly stalled when the expanding seat post mechanism became thoroughly stuck half-way in. Hours of struggle to move it further got nowhere. Whilst not a blind bearing, the problem was essentially the same. Within 2 minutes this little fella drifted the stuck part out. Now to re-machining , greasing, refitting and returning a splendid machine to the road.

I had wheel bearings that needed replacing on a front motorcycle wheel. I attacked the problem as I have done previously, with a hammer and drift, but there was not enough bearing surface for the drift to get purchase on. I decided to buy this FreeTec Bearing Puller set to see if it would solve my problem. The set contained a good selection of sizes, and I was quickly able to find the part that was suitable for my bearings. Attaching the slide hammer was easy, and away I went. I was tugging away for 15-20 mins or so, without much resolve. I was close to giving up when I went all out and gave it a good few yanks, two hands on the hammer and a firm grip... And "pop", out came the bearing! All the vibrations from tugging away on the slide hammer made my hands ache, and I did manage to pinch my palm at one point (blood blister) - avoid doing this if you can!I flipped the wheel over and mounted the bearing puller on the next bearing. I could not get this one to budge, I suspect I was just out of steam/hands sore/blood blister hurting. I ended up turning the wheel back over and punching the bearing out with a drift and hammer.So I had a mixed result with this tool, but it definately solved my problem as without it I'd have gotten neither of the two bearings out. I guess my advice would be "go big or go home", and watch where you put your hands!

After spending a day trying to get a reluctant pilot bearing out of an engine, I eventually went for this tool, and *bam!* got bearing out within 5 minutes of the tool being delivered. Having the right tool for the job is a real timesaver.

Unfortunately this puller is not long enough to be able to use spanner in the recess I was working on ,could not tighten puller to spread legs to catch bearing 😩

As described, works well and did the job. Use on a motorcycle and held up well

Das Werkzeug hat für seinen Preis eine sehr gute Qualität, man darf aber nicht zu viel erwarten.Für mich der gelegentlich mal ein Lager aus Fahrradachsen auszieht ist das Werkzeug perfekt.Ich würde es mir wieder kaufen.

Attrezzo hobbistco di buona fattura e solido. Perfetto per estrarre cuscinetti e raggiungibili da un lato.

Utilisé pour extraire le roulement borgne d'arbre à came de ma Harley, en 5 minutes c'etait fait sans rien abîmer. Que du bonheur....

L'estrattore è stato adoperato per la sostituzione dei cuscinetti dei mozzi di una e-mtb Specialized. Ha fatto egregiamente il suo lavoro dopo aver pre riscaldato la sede con una pistola ad aria calda. Il mozzo in alluminio ha permesso una semplice estrazione dei cuscinetti in due battute.
