Progressive Dynamics' customer service is second to none!
I've had three of this particular model of converter in various RVs, and they work great. I always replace the stock converter with one of these. They supply plenty of power. They are exponentially better than the generic converters most RVs are equipped with from the factory. Your lights won't dim when the furnace or pump come on, and your battery will never overcharge with a progressive dynamics converter.I am now on my fourth of this model because my third one quit. I believe it was due to moisture, but I'm not sure. I didn't take it apart because even though it was just over 2 years old, Progressive Dynamics sent me a brand new one! You can't beat that. I took a shot and emailed them to ask if it was covered, Andy replied asking for the serial# and my shipping address. 3 days later, a brand new Progressive Dynamics converter showed up! Excellent! Thank you Andy at Progressive Dynamics! If you are considering replacing the converter in your camper trailer or RV, go ahead and stop looking. Buy this one. These are also the best battery chargers or 12v power Supply on the planet.

Exactly what we needed
Converter went on our FR3 motorhome right before a trip. Local RV center wanted over $500 plus tax just for the part and had to order it. Found the exact one on Amazon on a Thursday afternoon for $200 less (I get they need to make a profit, but that's quite the mark up) and had it the next day by noon when the mail lady delivered it. Working like a charm. The hardest part of installation was getting the old one out. Charged the batteries right up.

Better than OEM
Converter went out on rig and needed to replace. Instead of settling for same replacement, I upgraded to this make and model and I'm glad I did. For starters, this unit can handle more amperage (which is what my mechanic friend recommended) and has a "pendant" you plug in and can see which stage the converter is in (boost, storage, etc.). In addition to the pendant telling you which stage your converter is in, you can manually change the stage if needed simply by following the instructions. Unit was completely "plug and play" outside of drilling new mounting holes. After installing this unit (also have Progressive Dynamics surge protector), my cabin lights have never been brighter (used to go back and forth between bright and dim....thought it was campground grid) and I no longer have the inconsistent power going through my rig.If converter going out, like mine did, would definitely recommend this replacement along with surge protector....this company definitely knows what they are doing and puts out good products.

Progressive Dynamics
This product is as advertised. I actually returned this unit because I was on the road and it did not get to my delivery point on time, so it went back automatically. When I got home I reordered but got the exact same model only in the 80 Watt model. It is the same unit I found at an RV store for a $100 more in price -- sweet. Install was a breeze, same wiring as the old unit removed. The small monitoring dongle that comes with it is a nice touch but I mounted it inside the compartment with the unit. It is a small light on off, blinking type trouble shooter, that monitors if the unit is working properly or not. I installed a constant voltage monitor that reads out in number for me and use that to monitor the batteries. Still a nice addition if you need it. All of the RV resale shops are selling these so that says something -- the last thing the RV shops and stores want are a lot of returns.

Been in the RV since 2016 still going strong
So, I circle back around to write a review, haha. 2016 I bought this to replace essentially the same model (older model same brand). The price then was about 200 less than it is on amazon now, thats kinda crazy. But, i have found this is a decent converter/charger. Keep it from being baked in the battery compartment and I would say it will last quite some time (why so many RVs just have a sealed off box with no ventilation is sad). I attribute my batteries still being alive to this thing. MFG 2015 still working great today, regular 12v deep cycle pop cap lead acid batteries. I also have a DIY lifepo4 12v battery I can hook up to this thing and cycle it to the solid-light (fast charge?) state and it ripps around 900 watts into that battery at 14.4 v quick. My only complaint and/or caution is this, do the math on the efficency. The input wattage and output wattage are quite different placing efficiency low. That extra electricity cost for when it is running full blast vs the cost of replacing batteries every 2 to 3 years.... may be worth doing the math on that but for now I will likely just get another one of these when it takes a dump. The cycling between different states of charge/float/etc are what makes this thing shine.

Better than I expected.
The Progressive Dynamics 70 amp converter works great in our 24' travel trailer. I recently installed a new stereo and amp. When running the stereo the trailer interior lights would dim and the heater didn't want to start before adding this device. Now the lights are brighter than ever and the heater starts up perfectly. I doubt if I can use enough devices to ever put an extreme load on this converter. It runs very slightly warm. Not an issue. It's also silent. I have it mounted under our bed where I can easily access the breaker box. Installation was easy. One thing I did that I shouldn't have done was I used the ground post on the back and grounded it and used the ground next to the hot lead and grounded it to a ground bar. On our trailer this caused the main breaker to trip in the trailer. When I hooked the ground next to the hot lead on the device to the ground bar on the trailer breaker box and did NOT use the additional ground on the device it worked perfectly.
